The Cowshed

Stay in the old cowshed on our small farm, set in just under 2 hectares of pasture and woodland, full of wildlife. A great base for exploring Charente and all it has to offer. A rustic Gîte deep in the Charente countryside. Access to our homemade saltwater pool overlooking the valley during the summer months. Private gas barbecue. Badminton/Volleyball and pickleball nets on site. Just 40 minutes from Angoulême. Less than 15 mins from Nanteuil-en-Vallée and Verteuil-sur-charente. The space Open plan living area downstairs with kitchen and wood stove. Large sleeping area upstairs with 2 double beds. A curtain can be drawn to separate sleeping areas. Private Gas barbecue. Guest access key lock Other things to note The pool is the pool of the main house. Guests have private access during certain hours. The pool Is a saltwater (chlorinator) system and we try to use only rainwater so don’t expect a hotel looking pool. 😁
