The atmosphere is warm and nostalgic — many guests say it feels like visiting their grandma’s home. The nearest station is just a 2-minute walk away, making it easy to explore Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka. The space This retro two-story Japanese house, built about 50 years ago, offers a warm and nostalgic atmosphere — many guests say it feels like visiting their grandma's home. You will have the entire house to yourself, with a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and both Western-style beds and traditional futons. The house is about 77㎡ and can accommodate up to 8 guests (recommended for up to 6 adults for comfort). Located in a residential area, everything you need is within walking distance, including stations, supermarkets, and restaurants. You can enjoy your stay here as if you were living like a local, at your own pace. High-speed Wi-Fi, a washing machine and clothes dryer, and cooking equipment are provided, making it comfortable for longer stays. Free parking is available in front of the house. For larger vehicles or multiple cars, there is also a nearby coin parking (about a 1–2 minute walk). ⸻ 【Good to know】 • This is a retro Japanese house from the 1970s, with one toilet on the first floor. • The stairs may feel a bit steep, but handrails and safety measures are in place. • A railway line runs nearby, so train noise can be heard. The back room is generally quieter. • As this is a retro Japanese house, natural scents such as wood and tatami may be noticeable, especially on humid or rainy days. • Towels are provided. Other things to note 【Important】 • This is a non-smoking property. • Free parking is available on site (approx. 4m wide × 3.5m deep, suitable for a Prius-size car). For larger vehicles or multiple cars, a coin parking lot is available about a 1–2 minute walk away (around 500 yen per 24 hours). 【Good to know】 • The house can accommodate up to 8 guests, but we recommend up to 6 adults for comfort. • This is a traditional Japanese house from the 1970s, with one toilet on the first floor. • The stairs may feel a bit steep for some guests, but handrails and safety measures are in place. If needed, you can use the sofa bed on the first floor. • Bath and face towels are provided for each guest. Please bring your own toothbrushes and pajamas. • There is a railway line about 15 meters from the house. Some guests notice the sound at first, while others quickly get used to it and enjoy their stay. If you are sensitive to noise, we recommend sleeping in the room away from the street side.
