Homely cottage in coastal village

Our family home is a quintessential Cornish cottage in the popular village of St Agnes with its great range of shops, pubs and eateries. As part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are dramatic walks, clifftop ruins and stunning beaches moments away. Built in 1852, we are currently restoring the cottage's original character. The lounge now boasts a cosy log burner and exposed stone wall, while the upstairs has been completely refreshed including new carpets and mattresses. The space You enter the cottage through the front garden, which is often a sunny spot to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching the world go by. The porch is ideal for leaving any muddy shoes or wet things, before entering into the hall and going upstairs or through to the lounge. Despite being a cottage, the ceilings are of a good height throughout. In the lounge you can see the original beams, an old stone wall with window seat and a fireplace complete with cosy log burner. There is a record player, Marshall bluetooth speaker and a variety of books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. The kitchen is compact, but functional with the usual amenities of a home kitchen with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. Upstairs is carpeted throughout. The two double bedrooms both have king-size beds with new comfy mattresses and the single bedroom has a cot bed, suitable for a young child. The bathroom consists of a toilet, wash basin and shower over a bath. Other things to note This is an old cottage and our family home, which provides homely comfort. We think it's quirks add to its character, but this may not be the place for you if you are looking for a pristine holiday rental as we are still updating some areas. Please also note, we have chosen not to have a television in our cottage and hope you instead enjoy socialising, playing games, reading, listening to music or watching the fire in our home. On-road parking is usually available outside the front of the cottage. There is so much to discover within a short car journey of the cottage, but equally driving isn't essential. Shops and pubs are within walking distance and back lanes take you down to Trevaunance Cove beach and onto the coast path. There is a park with playground and football goals 2-minutes walk away and tennis courts 5-minutes walk away.
