Fisherman's Camp

Fisherman’s Camp is a quiet retreat on the shores of Tomales Bay - with a hell of a view. This property sits on ⅓ of an acre of waterfront land with its own beach and deep water dock. We call it a “camp” because we wanted to create a place to gather with friends and family. The camp consists of a two bedroom cottage, a deep water dock and outdoor pavilion. All about enjoying the natural environment before you. The restored Fisherman's Camp cottage makes the most of the waterfront view. The "Camp" is owned and designed by Catherine Bailey and Robin Petravic of Heath Ceramics. They have designed an experience for their family that they are delighted to share with others who share their appreciation of the old and the classic. The vision is to enjoy the basic simplicity of an old school “camp” experience in a beautiful setting - spend your days kayaking, fishing, reading, painting, bird-watching or just staring at the light reflecting off the water of the bay. The cottage can sleep 4-5 people. The primary bedroom has a king bed, and half bath with clawfoot tub. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a full bathroom off the living room. There is also an office with a couch that folds into a comfortable twin bed. Private Beach/Pier/Pavilion: This is truly an unique and amazing setup for water lovers. The waters of Tomales Bay are calm, no waves or currents here to worry about (just be aware of wind). Kayaks are available for guests use. The private pier/dock is perfect for fishing, swimming, relaxing. This property is in a rare curve of the bay with deeper water so it is accessible at all tides. Fishing is excellent all year (Perch and Halibut, sometimes Striper or Salmon). There is a boat launch just down the road. The outdoor "pavilion" set back from the beach provides a perfect covered open air place to hang out, eat, play games. You'll love this outdoor hangout spot! Guest access You'll have access to the cottage, all the grounds, beach and the deepwater dock. This is a private property, you will have exclusive access. Other things to note Please respect our neighbors and the quiet serenity of this special place. There is a re-fillable Berkey water system on kitchen counter for drinking water. There are two vintage trailers on the property that are locked, and not included in the rental, but please enjoy them from the outside.
