The Carriage House

Beautiful, fully renovated 1935 Carriage House. This is a 2nd floor unit (13 stairs) with an off street, dedicated parking spot. Kitchen including Keurig and coffee, full bathroom featuring a claw foot tub, this space has all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Fast wifi and Roku TVs, work and dining space. Located in the heart of downtown Gladewater, you can walk to dining, shopping, and our many antique stores in the Antique capital of East Texas. Fits 2 adults +1 child The space The Carriage House unit is located on the 2nd floor of the original carriage house on the property. You will come through the gate and up 13 stairs to reach the front door. The entire unit is on the 2nd floor. Gladewater was founded by the Union Pacific railroad in 1873. Commerce ave was actually originally named Railroad Ave. All this to say we are close to an active railroad crossing with no set schedule. At some point during your stay you may hear a train horn on our historic tracks as the train warns cars and pedestrians that it is coming through town as it has done for the last 152 years. Parking- there is a dedicated off street parking spot directly in front of the unit, well lit. Pathway up to front door is well lit also. Bedroom- sleep comfortable in a queen bed with premium cotton sheets and black out curtains. Room has a Roku tv and sound machine as well. There is a separate mini split for AC and heat in the bedroom. Bathroom- Step back in time with our original claw foot tub/shower combo, updated fixtures help to blend old and new for a wonderful experience. Bathroom has all amenities you need to be comfortable during your stay. Kitchen- This well appointed kitchen has all you need during your stay. Keurig coffee maker, coffee, creamer, sugar and tea also provided. Living room/dining room- This cozy space provides an area to watch tv, read, play games or work. Dining table functions well as a work space. *Couch folds down to provide a just under twin size sleeping area as well. Bedding provided for this is also 100% cotton. The main house is still under renovation and restoration during the weekdays.
