Idyllic cottage by the river

The 300-year-old, cozy house is located directly on the river Dokkumer Ee in a friendly neighborhood. From the terrace (also usable as a parking space) you can see ships passing by. You can visit the mill and buy groceries at the bakery around the corner. There is a small local history museum, refreshments and a flower shop. The cities of Dokkum and Leeuwarden are easily accessible, as are the Wadden Sea coast and the ferry ports to the islands of Ameland and Schiermonikoog. The space You enter the hallway via a step; this is separated from the living area by a door and another step. On the ground floor is the living room with a gas stove that provides cozy warmth to the whole house. From here you have a view of the Dokkumer Ee and the historic buildings on the opposite side of the river, as well as the tallest windmill in Friesland. Two higher steps lead to the fully equipped kitchen-living room. The bathroom and the garden are adjacent. A steep staircase leads to the attic, which is divided into a study with sleeping accommodation and a bedroom with a double bed. A mobile radiator is available there for particularly cold winter nights. There are two bikes. Guest access The entire house, garden and terrace are available for the guests alone. Other things to note The house has no central heating. It is heated by a gas stove, which warms well, but not to all corners. Therefore, there is an electric radiator upstairs for very cold days. This warms up the room very quickly and is only to be used while you are in the room, please switch off overnight! The front door is low, very tall people have to bend down briefly, as well as you have to bend down briefly under 2 beams on the upper floor when crossing. On the ground floor there is regularly a dog visiting. There are sleeping places for 3-4 people in the house. It should be noted that the second sleeping area is in a passage room. The gate in the garden leads to a neighbor's property, it is not available for use.
