This beautiful flat is perfectly situated on the Kimbolton High Street, walking distance from shops and cafes. It has stunning views of Kimbolton Castle from every window! Enjoy the historic charm of our Grade II listed flat and everything our local area has to offer. The space Rest Awhile is a well-equipped flat with a living space, compact kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The views of Kimbolton Castle are amazing. Kimbolton castle is built on the site of a 13th century Norman castle. It underwent extensive renovation in the 15th century and was the home of Catherine of Aragon, one of the wives of Henry VIII. The castle in its present form dates back to 1690-1720. In 1950 the castle was sold to Kimbolton School, who continue to restore and manage it to meet the needs of the school. Living area: This comfortable space has a 50" smart TV, board games, puzzles, and a variety of books to keep you entertained. An HDMI cable is also provided (in the desk drawer) for guests wanting to connect their own devices to the TV. There is an electric fireplace/stove in addition to the radiator to keep guests warm and cozy. A drop-side table and 2 TV tables are provided for dining. Kitchen: This is a well-equipped, functional, compact space. It has a magnificent view of Kimbolton Castle! It comes with a fridge-freezer, microwave, an air-fryer with rotisserie, a 2 plate stove, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a kettle. In addition to the coffee machine, there is a French press with coffee grounds provided. Cutlery and crockery, as well as basic cooking utensils, can be found in the kitchen. Bedroom: This beautiful space has lovely views of the Kimbolton Castle gates and High Street. There is a comfortable 5' King Size bed with a mattress from the reputable British Bed Company, and 4 pillows to suit a variety of sleep preferences. A 10.5 tog duvet will be on the bed during the winter months, and a 4.5 tog duvet in warmer weather. There are extra blankets in the flat, and there is a radiator in the bedroom to ensure guests have a cozy nights rest. Guests who enjoy white noise at night will love the Dreamegg Sleep sound machine. Workspace: There is a desk in the bedroom and a Iniu phone charger and HDMI cable for use during your stay. Bathroom: This space has a shower, basin, toilet, and towel warmer. The shower is fitted with an electric water heater, and Bright Earth shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap are provided. 100% ring spun cotton towels are available for guest use. A first aid kit is provided. Laundry: in the kitchen there is a 7kg washer-dryer, and Ecover detergent. There is also a laundry rack, laundry basket, ironing board, and iron, for guest use. We endeavor to take care of the environment and run this space as sustainably as possible. More infomation on these efforts is available in the guest manual in the flat. Guest access Parking: We have a parking spot at the back of the building. There is also free parking on the High Street. Building access: George House has secure access to the front and back door, and guests will be provided the codes for both. Stairs: There is a step at both the front and back of the building to get inside. Rest Awhile is on the first floor: there is one flight of stairs to get to the flat. Inside the flat there is one step, and raised thresholds. This property is not suitable for guests who require level access. Flat access: There is a lock box at the front door of the flat, so guests can arrive at any time. There is an additional set of keys provided, that can be found inside the flat. Other things to note The flat is situated on the first floor and might not be suitable to guests with limited mobility.
