Stay in the Northern Dog Trot house. We want to offer an affordable space, quaint, clean & comfortable & private! Guests can enjoy a three-room suite with a private entrance. The Dog Trot area is the glass enclosed area between the guest space and owners space. We have opened up our dog trot area, added a kitchenette and sofa bed to accommodate more than 2 guests or families with kids. Only 6 miles to Menomonie & 1 mile to quaint downsville. Red cedar trail 1 mile away. Guests love our area! The space The main listing does not offer an accurate category- you do not get an entire home but it's more than a room in a home. Basically, you take a ranch house and 1/2 of it is the guest space the other half is the owner's space. Similar to a duplex. You are attached to the owner's space. We are a guest favorite, it works and we will continue offering our comfortable home to our guests. We also offer the Nordic Nest as featured on the Youtube channel HomeWithStefani. A Scandinavian-inspired tiny house adjacent to our home. Guest access Think of this space as a three-room guest suite. The guest area and the owner's area are separate. We share a wall, but your area is private and has its own entrance at the back of the home. You can park right next to the house and enter through the back. The owners have an exterior door that divides the two spaces. You won't find a hotel room with this type of setup for the money. We are often in and out due to our jobs or traveling, so you may hear us from time to time, but it’s very minimal. We respect your privacy, and guests don't need to be particularly quiet! We have been renting this space for over five years. If you’re a party of one or two, please see our original listing for a two-room suite that is priced lower but offers less space. We know you will enjoy your stay! Other things to note We are located 6 miles south of Menomonie near the small town of Downsville. Very close to the Red Cedar Trail head. Many of our past guests came to enjoy the trails nearby or to visit UW-Stout. For whatever reason you are here we are sure you will enjoy your stay. We have many return guests.
