A Quintessential Dorset Thatched Cottage with an enclosed South Facing Cottage Garden. Seating areas for my guests on the sun terrace or the garden. The Cottage is located opposite the pretty Village Green and there is a renowned Thatched Country Pub serving an extensive menu less than a minutes walk. A traditional Dorset Village. Dorset has so much to offer. Bicycle trails and walks directly from the Cottage. The Jurassic Coastline is a 20 minute drive with incredible beaches and walks. The space Guests have their own private Double Bedroom, with Ensuite. King Size Bed. Egyptian Cotton Sheets and Towels. Seating area with Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room.. Small amount of reading material and board games 32" TV with Netflix and Prime. There is an option for a chargeable ADDITIONAL bedroom by request at time of booking, suitable for one adult or 2 children. Bedroom 2 photos are here for viewing. A daybed/trundle bed that pulls out if required for 2. Guests are invited to have breakfast in the Kitchen/Diner or weather permitting on the Sun Terrace overlooking the Cottage Garden. In the Spring, House Martins annually return to nest under the Thatch just outside the window. You will hear lots of birdsong in the morning and can often see the chicks popping their heads out asking mum for food. Close to Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport The historic town of Dorchester is a 5 minute drive and has a huge selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. There are 2 Cinemas, a magnificent Museum and plenty of shops. Dorchester Market is open every Wednesday morning and well worth a visit. If you require a 'dedicated work space' this can be provided on request at the time of booking. Beach Towels/Chairs/Beach BBQ/Windbreak - All available for a small additional fee, please enquire at time of booking. Guest access Parking is on my Driveway, note this is on a Camber, if you prefer to park on the road parking outside the Cottage is fine. Guests are welcome to use the South Facing Garden Terrace. Ideal for afternoon/evening drinks. Seating, Sun Umbrella and Sun loungers available. The nearest train station is in Dorchester. I am happy to offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the Station. The train takes you into Weymouth or Bath. On my listing there is a Guest Guidebook available to you, advising you of many local attractions . Guests are also welcome to use the kitchen/diner for light refreshments and to enjoy takeaways at the kitchen table. The lounge is my private area. During your stay I live here and if I’ve popped out for any reason I can be contacted by ringing my mobile, texting or emailing any time. I share my home with a mini Dachshund named Otto. He is very affectionate and always after additional cuddles, however if you prefer no interaction with Otto just let me know on booking and I will ensure he keeps his distance. Breakfast is Continental and included. Croissants/Jams/Granola/Fruit/Yogurt/Coffee/Tea/Juice Breakfast is served between 8-10am, earlier by request. Additional Extras on request: Traditional Dorset Cream Tea, Homemade Scones, Jams, Clotted Cream and copious pots of tea! Taken on the Sun Terrace.
