Description
Cozy up in this spacious log home right on the Skagit River, just minutes to the North Cascades National Park! Pups are welcome and there are plenty of amenities for children to enjoy. This 5 bedroom home is ideal for large groups who want to bask in nature, whether it's in the national park or right in the backyard! It features an open concept living space, main floor bedroom & full bathroom, 4 bedrooms & full bathroom upstairs, huge game room, hot tub, BBQ, firepit, great wifi, & EV charger. The space Relax and unwind at the American Alps Lodge, a custom riverfront home that is only 15 minutes from the North Cascades National Park, 26 minutes from Diablo Lake, and 35 minutes from Ross Damn trailhead! It is located on 2.5 private acres with access to a sandy beach along the Skagit River, perfect for fishing, bird watching, or just peace and quiet! This home offers 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a huge game room, laundry access, and an open concept livingroom/dining/and kitchen. There is fresh paint, new carpet, and modern furnishings through out. Outside you will find fruit trees in the front yard, a covered front and back porch, hot tub, gas BBQ, and cozy firepit. There is a slough behind the house and just a short walk through the woods leads you to the river's edge. The home and property are stocked with everything you need for a truly comfortable stay. Just bring your suitcase and groceries! Guest access Guests are welcome to any and all areas of the property minus the housekeeping closet and locked outbuildings. The riverfront and path leading to it are shared with the smaller vacation home across the property. Please use extreme caution with young children. There are many potential hazards inside and out (free-standing wood fireplace, open staircase, sloped yard leading down to the slough, Hwy 20, and potentially wild animals). DO NOT attempt to swim in the Skagit River. The current is way stronger than it looks! Other things to note Marblemount is a quaint town. It has 2 restaurants, a hotel, post office, and 2 gas stations which both carry a wide range of necessities. It is the last town with services before heading over the pass. Concrete and Sedro Woolley are the next closest towns to Marblemount with actual grocery and hardware stores but the nearest Wal-Mart or big box store is in Mt. Vernon or Burlington, about 1 hour and 15 minutes west of Marblemount so it's best to plan your stops before getting all the way to Marblemount. Additionally, the restaurant hours vary depending on the season so please check with them directly if you plan to dine out. They are called Mondo's and The Upriver Taproom and Grill. Guests should also know that HWY 20 closes seasonally through the pass. It depends on weather but usually closes late October-mid November and reopens between April-May depending on road conditions. Marblemount is only accessible from the west side of the Cascade Mountains during the winter and 4 wheel drive is recommended to access the home if/when there is snow. Feel free to message the host to inquire about snow.
