Cottage with superb views

Small house of 55 m2 on the heights of Chamalières sur Loire, with a veranda overlooking a panoramic view of Mont Gerbizon, the Château d'Artias, the village and the Loire. The Loire and the village are within walking distance, and there are many walks nearby. The Way of Saint James of Compostela also runs along the house. The space The house includes a bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a sofa bed for 2 people with small cupboard and wardrobe, an open fitted kitchen, a living room and a reading area with a wood stove, a south-facing veranda, a bathroom with shower, separate toilet. The main room is very bright thanks to the bay window overlooking the veranda. The room overlooks a terrace via the French window. The garden is composed of several espaliers that can be crossed thanks to a path in Lauze stones. The house has been renovated but still retains a certain simplicity in its facilities. In particular, a French press, kettle, fridge, microwave, raclette, hairdryer, barbecue, swing are available. As well as wood for the wood burning stove. Reversible air conditioning. A TV with DVD player and large selection of DVDs is installed in the living room (children's film included). Please note that there is no antenna, so no access to TV channels, but an HDMI cable is available. Guest access There is a train stop about a ten-minute walk away. And the highway is within a 20-minute drive. The car can be parked in an outdoor parking lot at the bottom of the house. From there you have to climb a few meters (which slightly wakes up the thigh muscles!😊). Other things to note There are lots of things to visit in the area. And in particular the Priory dating from the 12th century with its botanical garden, located within the village of Chamalieres sur Loire. Sports and nature activities are offered in the surrounding area: canoeing and paddleboarding on the Loire, climbing, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding... The village includes 2 restaurant bars, a bakery/grocery store. And all the necessary shops in Retournac (village 10 minutes away by car). Le Puy en Velay is 30 minutes away.
