The Farmhouse at Deer Run

Wrap yourself up in the natural beauty of the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania in this 200 year old remodeled farmhouse nestled on 500 acres of pristine fields and forests in Northeastern PA. Updated but comfortable. Access to your own fishing hole and walking paths. Off of Interstate 81 and close to the NY State border, Priesthood Restoration site, Red Rock Barbeque and Tedeschi's Italian Eatery. 30 minutes from SUNY Binghamton and 1 hour north of Scranton. Cozy, clean and peaceful The space When you arrive at the farmhouse you will walk down the stone steps and up to the front porch. The porch is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view of the fishing pond. A lock box will be there for entry. Inside you will find an entry way with a closet filled with extra tables and chairs if needed. You will also find a picnic blanket and basket to enjoy. To the right is a breakfast nook with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the front lawn. To the left you will find the guest book filled with information including a history of the house and McHugh family, services and items available check out instructions and wildlife information. There is also a trail map. Deeper inside is the living area with comfortable couch and lounge chairs. A television with WiFi and streaming services is on the wall. Then it’s onto the game room where you will see a chalkboard wall and a Wii game console near the tv. As well as a pull out bed. A great place to gather as a family or with friends. The main bath is in this area with heated floors and a lovely walk in shower, big comfy bath towels and Native brand hair and body essentials. The kitchen is farther inside with a fully stocked coffee and tea bar, hot chocolate, farm fresh eggs from our hens, bread and butter and our own maple syrup when available. The kitchen comes complete with all you need to cook any meal. You will have access to ice from the refrigerator machine and hot and cold spring water on tap. When you are ready you will retire upstairs to one of 3 large comfortable beds each bedroom decorated with antique furniture from the farm and whimsical themes. There is a full laundry room available with laundry detergent, irons and a drying rack. In the bedroom closets you will find electric heat and fans. There are many antiques spread throughout the house. Most from the farm. You will also find an ancestral wall in the game room. There is so much wildlife and natural beauty to enjoy. Guest access Our guests are able to enjoy the entire farmhouse with a front and back yard, fire pit, fishing pond and walking trails.
