Located in the quiet community of Emigrant Gap, our cabin offers easy access to a variety of outdoor activities. The space The Canyon Blue Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that can sleep up to 10 guests. We recommend 6-8 adults. We are Pet (Dog) Friendly! 2 Dogs max. We kindly ask that you pick up after your dogs. Doggie lavender scented bags are located in the kitchen drawer by the sink. Bedrooms: The cabin features three unique bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed for a restful night’s sleep. The master bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed, while the other two bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed and two twin beds, making it perfect for kids or additional guests. Two pull out sofa beds to sleep an additional four people, 10 guests total. Master Bedroom has USB ports for charging on the sides of the headboard, 2 total. Bathrooms: Two full bathrooms are available, both equipped with essential amenities, including fresh towels, toiletries, and hairdryers. Living Area: Relax in the spacious living room with its large window and sliding doors to the deck that bring the beauty of the forest inside, a high-efficient wood-burning fireplace that sets the perfect ambiance for chilly mountain nights. Unwind on the plush sofa with a book or enjoy a movie night on the 65” LG Quad HD OLED flat-screen TV, with built-in streaming apps, all tied into high speed Starlink Internet. Built in USB chargers in the lamps beside the couch. Or simply hangout and relax in the front living room while you cook with a second high-efficient wood-burning fireplace with a flat-screen tv equipped like the one in the main living room. Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including modern appliances, cookware, and a dining table that seats eight (2 folding chairs are located in the adjacent closet. Coffee lovers will appreciate the Keurig machine and the selection of coffee and tea provided. Outdoor Space: Step outside onto the large fenced-in deck and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. The outdoor seating area is perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing. Enjoy a BBQ on the gas grill or gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stories. The historic town of Truckee is just a 30-minute drive away, offering charming shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. • Hiking Trails: A peaceful county water company access trail is available just behind the back deck across a seasonal creek. A short drive up the hill will give you access to the Pacific Crest Trail, Loch Leven Lakes Trail, as well as trails along the Yuba River and more. • Skiing: Its less than 30 minutes to Sugar Bowl Ski Resort and Boreal Mountain Resort and the town of Truckee just beyond. • Lakes: Donner Lake and Lake Spaulding are nearby for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. • Sightseeing: Visit historic Truckee or take a scenic drive along Highway 20 to visit the historic Gold Mining town of Nevada City. Check-in is a breeze with our self-check-in process, and we’re always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations during your stay. Other things to note • The cabin is located 1/4 mile off I-80 and the roads to driveway are plowed by Caltrans. Additionally, we clear the driveway and have a level, 6 car parking pad, at street level. We clear the driveway and pad with John Deere Bobcat driven snowblower after every significant snowfall. • Check-In: 4:00 PM • Check-Out: 11:00 PM • Winter Travel: We highly recommend that all guests coming to the mountains download the Caltrans App called "QuickMap" from the Apple Store or Google Play, as it provides live updates of road conditions, accidents, and even the positions of snow plows.. • We kindly ask that guests respect the quiet hours after 10 PM to maintain the tranquility of the neighborhood.
