NOTICES: -POWER OUTTAGES are common throughout Siquijor island, especially during hotter summer months island supply cannot meet demand. Sometimes during typhoons, the island runs out of fuel to power their electric supply and can cause island-wide blackouts. It is rare but has happened. We do not have a generator on-site. We will provide an emergency lantern and have solar backup lights in the main common areas. During multi-day power outtages, we are sometimes unable to recharge lanterns. Also keep your devices charged and anticipate potential power outtages in Siquijor. -Our location has cool weather and despite power outtages, fans and air conditioning are usually not needed. -During heavy rains, the water supply becomes cloudy or discolored. The water supply is mountain springwater and this is experienced by the entire town during heavy rains. We have installed a water tank to bypass this issue. -We have emergency water barrels outside and also provide buckets in case of any water interruption. We have installed a water tank to help prevent water interruptions. We are surrounded by nature and due to the proximity to the forest, we cannot control the presence of animals or insects in or around the property. We have mosquito nets available on request. Despite having screens and closed areas, there is a possibility of encountering these members of nature. Please contact a member our staff for any concerns regarding this.
