Woodbine Cottage

Woodbine Cottage is centrally located in the rural parish of St Lawrence a 20 minute stroll from The Jersey War Tunnels. The accommodation is a traditional Jersey granite cottage which has been recently renovated. Ideally suited for a couple but has the option to sleep a third person. Also benefits from a small private patio area to the rear of the property & free off street parking for 1 car. The space Recent renovation means that the whole cottage benefits from underfloor heating, full double glazing & WIFI access, smoke alarms, fire blanket and a carbon monoxide alarm. The modern kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. We supply tea, coffee, milk & sugar. There is also a washer/drier (washing pods supplied) & a small breakfast table with seating for 2 people. The kitchen leads to the spacious lounge. The lounge has a log burner for cosy nights in with one basket of logs available to use, a 36 inch TV, a selection of board games & an upright piano for our musical guests. Stairs lead up from the lounge to a small landing. To the left is a large modern bathroom with walk in shower & separate bath. We supply all towels. To the right of the landing is a comfy bedroom with a double bed & a single bed benefitting from Fogarty Anti Allergy pillow covers, mattress protectors & duvet. All bedlinen is provided. Hanging space is provided for your clothes as is a handy luggage cupboard. Guest access The Mont Felard roadside location enables easy access to the No 7 bus route either South to St Helier and Liberation Station or North to Devils Hole & St Johns Village via Hamptonne Museum. The bus stop for either direction is less than a minutes walk. For those guests who wish to explore the island more independently a hire car is ideal with the cottage parking space available. The accommodation is completely self contained with its own off road access and private patio area which backs onto agricultural fields Other things to note The island is renowned for its coastline with rugged cliff path walks in the North and numerous sandy beaches. The cottage is completely non smoking & we regret no pets permitted There is a small convenience store opposite St Lawrence Church & a small supermarket at the foot of Mont Felard. For the convenience of our guests we offer an optional 'starter pack' priced at £20. Using local produce where possible Example pack includes; Jersey Milk Jersey Butter Jersey Eggs Bread Croissants Bacon Strawberries Orange juice Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free or Dairy Free alternatives available on request. Please just indicate if pack required at time of booking. For those guests wishing to stay with us for 2 weeks or more a free bed linen & towel change and cottage clean is offered on the middle Saturday. All we ask is that you vacate the premises from 12 midday until 3pm to enable time for this to happen.
