This beautiful and idyllic property has been in the hosts' family for generations. It is situated on more than 70 acres of Maine woods and overlooks beautiful Clearwater Lake, a pristine, spring-fed lake in Industry, Maine. This tranquil spot offers natural beauty and a large variety of healthy exercise. People enjoy reading, relaxing and rejuvenating as well as hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and frogging. You'll find there is something for everyone, adults and children alike. The space You can enjoy meals or your morning coffee on the screened in porch or at the picnic table by the cottage. There is a fully equipped kitchen area with a full sized refrigerator, stove and microwave plus a large assortment of dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans and just about anything you might need to prepare and serve your meals. There are two bedrooms with double beds, a loft with two single beds as well as another single bed in the living area, which doubles as a sofa. The bathroom has a flush toilet, shower and sink. There is wireless, high-speed internet service available. Canoes and life vests are available. Many cultural activities are available in the nearby college town of Farmington at the University of Maine, which is less than 15 minutes from the rental property. Guest access There is free parking just behind the cabin. There is an outside space with picnic table and grill. Swimming and dock space are shared. Other things to note The nearby college town of Farmington offers cultural and recreational activities. Visit the University of Maine Art Gallery or hike in the extensive network of local trails (Flint Woods-44 acres, Village Woods- 43 acres, Willow woods -28 acres, and Horn Woods- 63 acres) to find old wells, vernal pools or scenic outlooks. Visit the Olin Richardson Tract, a 160 acre natural area, maintained for the benefit of wildlife and to provide public use and outdoor recreation.
