Description

A beautiful historic home is now available for your stay. The Trafton School House, a beloved elementary school until 2011, has been thoughtfully converted into a stunning residence—perfect for families to gather and make memories. Situated on over two acres, the property offers plenty of space to explore while being close to major highways for easy access. Originally built in 1888 and rebuilt in 1912 after a fire, the schoolhouse is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The space The Trafton School House offers 5,000 sq. ft. of beautifully renovated space, featuring six bedrooms and 5.25 bathrooms. The expansive kitchen and living area provide the perfect setting for gathering over meals or unwinding by the cozy fireplace. Other things to note We are able to make single room rentals during the off-season (September-May). Feel free to reach out for more details! The hosts live on site in a trailer on a side of the property that should not interfere with your stay. You may occasionally see our cars driving in and out of the driveway to the back of the property. In 2026 or 2027, we plan to host outdoor weddings and events. The yard is not fenced in at this time. There is a playground that is on our neighbor's property and must be avoided. The woods across the bridge is open for exploration! Just keep in mind it is still over grown and has blackberry bushes to be mindful of. Thank you.
