We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, . We're joined by dogs, horses, camels alpacas, pigs, rabbits ,guinea Pigs Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and echidnas! All this, plus beautiful views from our hills, right to the lake. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35m to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5mins down the road and has great food. The space Our cozy Airbnb is located just below our family home on a charming working hobby farm. Enjoy the peaceful, rustic setting with the sounds of our friendly dogs playing and the natural bustle of farm life. While there may be some noise and activity around the property and above the BNB (due to dogs), it's all part of the authentic farm experience we love sharing with guests. If you're looking for a unique, lively stay with a warm, homely atmosphere, you'll feel right at home here! Entrance to the studio is through a sliding door with a security screen, leading into a cozy lounge area furnished with two comfortable sofas, and a lovely armchair perfect for reading. The lounge is equipped with a smart TV, Netflix, a DVD player (please bring your own DVDs), and a selection of reading materials and games for your enjoyment. Note if you are wanting to have more than 2 people stay, please message with details (sofa bed available) The BNB has its own split system for heating and cooling. The fully equipped kitchen features an island bench, fridge with freezer, oven, microwave, hotplate, and dishwasher, along with a range of appliances including a toaster, kettle, electric mixer, Nespresso coffee machine, sandwich press, and a variety of pots, pans, and crockery to suit your needs. The bedroom boasts a king-size bed with views of the beautiful garden and rolling hills, complemented by the cheerful songs of local birds. There's ample wardrobe space and another cozy chair to relax in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The bathroom has a big shower, a toilet, and a hand basin – all the basics you need to freshen up. We’ve got you covered with towels and all the essentials, so you can kick back and relax after a day on the farm. It’s a no-fuss, comfy spot to recharge and feel right at home. Step outside onto the verandah that wraps around the studio, where you can unwind and soak in the tranquil atmosphere, or fire up the Weber barbecue to enjoy a meal in the fresh air. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, our location offers the best of both worlds. Relax on the farm, enjoy a book in the garden, or simply take in the serene surroundings. If you're up for an adventure, you're in the perfect spot to explore local wineries, breweries, cafes, and beautiful beaches. For something unique, try the tree climb in Kuitpo. Whatever your mood, there's always something nearby to enjoy! Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property and enjoy spotting some of our local wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas, and echidnas, with the occasional resident owl or two. Please do not enter any gates into the paddocks without our prior permission. For your safety and the wellbeing of our animals, entering without consent could result in injury or cause livestock to escape. If you’d like to interact with our cows, horses, camels alpacas, or chickens—whether it’s feeding or giving them a pat—just let us know, and we’ll happily arrange it for you. For a bit of adventure, feel free to hike up the 'bum burner' hill (don’t forget your picnic!) for breath-taking 360-degree views of McHarg Creek Valley, and on a clear day, even a glimpse of Lake Alexandrina. A note on access: our driveway is a little steep, but 2WD vehicles should have no trouble. The entrance to the studio is about halfway up the driveway, just before the green water tank—look for the turnoff on the right. Other things to note For your safety, please do not enter any paddocks with livestock without our consent, as there is a risk of injury. We also ask that you avoid climbing over gates, fences, or farm machinery, and swimming in the dam. While you may occasionally hear us or our furry friends, we do our best to keep things quiet and respectful of your stay. We also ask that you respect our property by leaving the space clean and tidy, and doing your part to help care for the environment. Please be mindful of our rainwater system and use water wisely.
