The space Casa do Limoeiro is a recently renovated house with traditional edge vaults from XVIII century and artisanal terracota tiles at Serpa's historical center. The central tower in the building called Zimbório was, in old times, a symbol of the property owner's status. Several manor houses survived until today and can be identified by similar architectural elements. The house is located at Largo do Côrro, a charming square surrounded by manor houses and public buildings. In the square center don't miss the XIX Century fountain. To visit the City, we recommend a walking tour which will be provided upon request. Serpa is a medieval town, inhabited since ancient times, it was under Roman and Arab influence which is still possible to identify in the city's buildings and monuments. The most relevant points of interest are the Castle, the XVII century Aqueduct and Palacio dos Condes de Ficalho.
