The Ahaya is a studio cabin with a kitchenette, private bath, gorgeous lakeviews and spacious outdoor patio. If you love to be in nature, this is the place for you! The space Welcome to Timakwa - a 1960's fish camp turned lakeside retreat. Located on the western shores of Orange Lake, once the serene habitat of the Timucuan tribe known as the Potano. Teaming with historic wildlife, including wild turkeys, deer, soaring eagles, gators, Orange Lake is a popular destination for bass fishing and bird watching. The Ahaya, meaning "cowkeeper" overlooks an old cattle ranch and is the largest of our studio cabins, equipped with a kitchenette and a private bathroom. This idyllic cabin recalls unique elements of Orange Lake's Spanish & Seminole history. Timakwa also boasts a 3- story treehouse, lighted boat ramp, common areas, outdoor showers & laundry services upon request. In addition to the Ahaya, Timakwa offers the following spaces available for booking: - Sandhill Lodge & South Grove -Lake house Duplex (Can be booked as a whole upon request) - The Ahaya- Studio cabin with private bath - Lochbie & Baithsop Bungalow mini glamping cabins with shared bathrooms/showers - Individual campsites with water spigots & both 50A/ 30A /20A hook ups - For large group reservations please send an inquiry to discuss availability and custom pricing. Guest access The entire cabin is yours during your stay. We also offer outdoor showers, lighted boat ramp, and treehouse overlooking the lake for your enjoyment. Separate laundry facilities are available upon request. Other things to note Please feel free to call us if you need help with getting to Timakwa.
