The Old Piggery - tranquil garden guest cottage

A spacious and well-appointed guest house set in a beautiful garden in the heart of the Cambridgeshire village of Hail Weston. The property is dog-friendly and gives easy access to country walks and cycling (it is on National Cycle route 12) but is still only a 10 minute drive from St Neots train station with direct links to London and only a half hour bus or car drive to historic Cambridge. Also, a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive into the market town of St Neots. The space This brick built guest house sits in the third of an acre garden of our house in the Cambridgeshire village of Hail Weston. There is free parking on the street outside the village church opposite and access to The Old Piggery is down the driveway between 109 and 11 High Street and through the double oak gates. You can access the Old Piggery - a single storey building - either through the front door into the kitchen area or the side door into the entrance hall. The property is very cosy with underfloor heating for the tiled kitchen and bathroom floors and electric heaters in the bedroom, living room and hallway. There are views across the garden from the sitting room, kitchen and bedroom. There are also skylights in the bedroom and living room - this means that the morning sun will enter the room so we do provide sleep masks for guests to use. There is a well-appointed kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine for guests to enjoy. The bathroom is accessed from both the sitting room and bedroom and includes basin, toilet and electric shower. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the outside space (which is also used by the family) including a fire pit, various seating and outside dining areas, garden room and even a table tennis table. We welcome guests with up to two dogs provided they do not go on furniture (unless you bring throws to fully protect the sofa). We also welcome guests with a baby and have both a travel cot, high chair and children's bowls/cutlery etc. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire Old Piggery as well as shared use of the large garden. Other things to note Parking is free on the High Street and we advise parking by the church wall.
