COB CABIN: step back in time with this beautiful rustic build; with lime rendered earthen/mud cob walls, recycled timbers, antique Indian doors, stone bath. A profoundly peaceful healing place amongst nature. Exclusive (ie no other guests) secluded getaway; luxury King size bed (or 2 singles). Romantic out door bath, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor BBQ, fire pit. Nestled deep in the caldera at the base of Boarder Ranges with stunning panoramic views of MT Warning. Set on 12 acre property The space Sacred Earth farm is a 'hobby farm' set on 12 acres with a small herd, milking goats, 2 jersey cows, ducks, chickens, and flocks of rare breed geese, fruit orchard and native forest. The property hosts spiritual gatherings and is a sanctuary for animals both wild and domestic and healing retreat for people who visit. The farm animals are all very friendly, you can wonder around and say hi, the goats and cows love attention but the big smelly male billy goat might be a bit too boisterous best stay clear of him! Farm tours available on request. The geese can be loud during breeding season but are not aggressive, the roosters are in ear shot but shouldn't disturb you. The cabin sits near open dam, so whilst young children are welcome they be supervised at all times. The frogs can be quite loud during rain storms. The COB CABIN at Sacred Earth Farm has its own entrance and is private and secluded set out of view, well away from the main house. The property is about 10min from the historic Town of Tyalgum and about 1.5 hrs drive of Byron Bay, 1 hour from the coast and from the many hikes and waterfalls at Spring Brooke National Park. The nearest supermarket and petrol station is Murwillumbah. Guest access Guest have their own entrance and parking at the cabin and are welcome to wonder around the farm and do small walks to the look out at top of the property. Guests need to respect the fact that it is a working farm. PLEASE KEEP ALL GATES CLOSED and beware of electric fencing!. Host is happy to show guests milking and other farm activities. (seasonal). A key lock box is installed on the door, so key can be accessed any time with the code. Other things to note The Cabin is a 2 room space, brand new recently built it has a lovely clean kitchen with a bar fridge with basic amenities.. It is semi off grid, it has limited power and compost toilet (which is clean with no smell) located in its own little building separate to the cabin. If you would like extra ice for cold drinks you could bring an esky and buy a bag of ice on way through town. There is no oven, however there is an electric stove top and gas BBQ. All the basics are provided for easy short stays including; a full equipped kitchen, tea, coffee, instant porridge, small amount long life milk, farm fresh honey, complimentary free range eggs from the farm. Fire wood is provided for cabin pot belly and outdoor pit fire.
