Relax with the whole family at this friendly peaceful place to stay. Located near Fakenham, a great central location for coastal visits and perfect for Christmas special events - Thursford spectacular, Luminate at Sandringham, Christmas at Holkham Hall, and Polar Express at Dereham… to name a few! This house is ideal for families, with two double rooms and two twin bed rooms. It’s a great place to stay all year round.. just a mile or so from the Fakenham race course, with village pub nearby. The space Mead house is a ten year old semi -detached house, located in a quiet rural village in North Norfolk, two miles from the quaint market town of Fakenham. Our house has been described as a Tardis…. It seems much bigger on the inside than it looks from outside! The house is set up to sleep 8 people in four bedrooms. There are two king size bedrooms (one is ensuite) and two twin rooms. There is a family bathroom upstairs (with bath and shower) and a small cloakroom downstairs. All bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. You should find all equipment you need for a comfortable stay, including boxed games and puzzles, DVD's, and a selection of toys to amuse small children. Downstairs is a sitting room at the front of the house with TV. Wi-Fi connection is in the hall. There is a small cloakroom with toilet and sink, and a large kitchen diner, with washing machine, double oven and hob, American -style fridge freezer, all crockery and cutlery, pots and pans for 10+people. A table seats up to 8 people, with further seating outside. The house is decorated in muted colours, with seaside and countryside themes in different rooms. The back garden has a covered seating area, a patio and a good -sized lawn. Great for kids, and one small/medium dog. A washing line is available. There is a gas BBQ, garden chairs provided, and a great games room, with table tennis, small pool/snooker table and darts board. The sun reaches the back garden around mid-day. The night skies are amazing on a clear night. There are no street lights, so it can seem very dark at night. It is well situated for visiting the many attractions along the North Norfolk coast, from Hunstanton to Sheringham. Holkham and Wells -next-the sea beaches are a 20 min drive away. There are may inland attractions, Nature reserves and parks within an easy drive. You will find visitor leaflets on the hall table. A car is essential, but a bus stops outside the house daily with routes to Fakenham and Dereham. The house is adjacent to an historic pub, which offers a friendly welcome, and a dining menu. we offer a friendly, comfortable home for your break, and hope you will find the small extras on offer will make your stay a happy and relaxing experience. Guest access There is parking on the drive for two cars. The loft space is not for guest access, and we retain one room downstairs for personal storage. It will be locked. All other areas are accessible to guests. An information file is left available for visitors, and we appreciate any comments left in our personal Guestbook. Other things to note We are happy for you to bring a well -behaved small or medium size dog with you - there are many wonderful beach and woodland walks available. Please clean up after your dog. We do not allow dogs upstairs, and there is a stairgate in place to prevent this. A gardener has access to the garden to mow the lawn - we will ask him to alert you to his arrival. No smoking or vaping in the house - but ashtrays are provided in the garden . Please bring your own beach towels.
