PV panels produce all electricity and hot water and heating is generated by AirSource Heat Pumps. The space Orchard Barn is a newly converted luxurious one bedroom barn with beautiful uninterrupted views over the Axe Valley. Wake up to stupendous sun rises while still lazing in the comfy King size bed! The Bedroom is on a mezzanine level with a walk in closet space right next to the bedroom and a well equipped en suite bathroom. The bathtub faces a window so you can enjoy the panoramic views whilst soaking in full privacy. At ground floor level there's a fully equipped small open plan kitchen with fridge, two zone induction hob, extractor fan and a microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and all the plates, glasses and cooking accessories you might need. There's also a Nespresso Vertu machine with some complimentary pods. The spacious sitting area benefits from a floor to ceiling glass elevation providing extensive and tranquil views over open fields and a sofa, occasional tables and comfortable armchairs. For extra convenience there is an extra shower bathroom with WC on the ground floor. Orchard Barn has its own private outdoor sitting area - enjoy a refreshing drink while soaking up the fantastic views over the Axe valley. Guest access The newly converted Orchard Barn is step only access to the barn itself and internally there is a set of stair up to the mezzanine bedroom. Allocated private on site parking for one car. There is a 50 meter lit gravel walk from the parking area to the entrance of the Orchard Barn. Orchard Barn is next to our farmhouse but is part of a separate detached former stables and barn and benefits from its own independent private entrance and its own private outdoor balcony and garden. Other things to note We focused very much on carbon neutrality when refurbishing the Orchard Barn by using cork insulation and other renewable materials and included double glazing. We installed ample Photovoltaic panels to produce on site all the electricity required including all the electricity for heating and hot water. There is no need for Carbon monoxide alarms as we do not use any combustible heat sources like gas or wood burners. The property is located between two working farms (beef cattle and sheep) which adds to the rural charm of the location. This is the reason why we cannot accept any pets.
