Guesthouse "Nakudurta" in Girevi

The Guesthouse is located in Girevi. This is the last settlement with a Guesthouse before the pass. Is on the road Omalo – Dartlo – Girevi (Tusheti) – mountain pass – Mutso - Shatili (Khevsureti). The space Girevi (alt. 2.250 m) is the last populated village in Tusheti under the Caucasus border range with Russia. Actually, you have to get a registration permit there to cross to Khevsureti region via the Atsunta pass, which is the highest point of the popular trek from Omalo to Shatili. Beware of the big Caucasian shepherd dogs there and do not miss the opportunity to play soccer with the border guard station soldiers. You can also admire the old watchtowers which are significant for this region. They stand there since Middle ages when they were built by the Tushs to protect the invaders from Georgian kingdom.
