Description
Nothing is missing in Rosmarinhuset. Here you sleep well, eat well and sit well. Coffee cups are easy to hold, the grill is easy to fire up, and should the worst happen, the utility room is also ready for a quick laundry. The space The heart of the cottage is the lovely kitchen-dining room, where the fireplace warms up the room nicely. The living room is adorned with a mix of grandmothers' embroidered pictures, flea market finds from Rødvig's local shop and simple but functional furniture. In the bedrooms, you won't find much more than the bed you'll be sleeping in. There's plenty of room for rest and relaxation, but just in case there are curious little ones in the room, let them look under the bed in the children's room. Here they will find toys for all ages and interests. The garden is full of cozy little nooks and crannies where adults can enjoy a glass of wine on one of the many benches and children can play treasure hunt, cave or swing. The garden is completely fenced in, so children can explore and adventure in the wild garden with strawberry paths and scrub without the adults having to worry about them running away. In spring there are wild garlic in the garden, and as we move into summer there are also rhubarb and raspberries. All year round there's oregano, thyme and of course rosemary. We always have homemade rosemary syrup in stock for drinks and desserts. Without a doubt, the Rosemary House invites you to experience all the good things that cottage life has to offer. You can go to bed with the window ajar and listen to the sound of the waves, and first thing in the morning you can light the wood-burning stove and take your coffee into the garden. Let the peace and quiet settle in. The cottage offers firewood to light the fire on arrival. If you need more firewood along the way, this can be arranged with the host. Meet Stine Both children and adults feel their shoulders drop a few extra centimeters when we arrive at Rosmarinhuset. We are two families with children who share our oasis away from Nørrebro and Copenhagen. The youngest resident is 4 years old and the oldest is 40, and our place offers activities for both of them and everyone in between. Here we enjoy the tranquility of the garden, mornings on the sofa playing cards and afternoons on the beach, at the harbor or on a trip to the magnificent nature and world heritage site, Stevns Klint. We enjoy the fact that the beach is only five minutes away, Boesdal Limestone Quarry with UNESCO visitor center, Stevns Cold War Museum and not least Rødvig fishing port. Here you'll find Denmark's best fish cakes and great cold ice cream. Rødvig Ferieby has a rabbit playground, and at Faxe Geomuseum, you can look for fossils in the limestone quarry. We also like to go on boat trips from the harbor and of course flea hunting in Store Heddinge. The wild and child-friendly garden with many small cozy corners for both peace and play. Rosmarinhytten's lovely living room, decorated with a fireplace and grandma's embroidery. Only a 5-minute walk to the beach, which is great for both children and adults
