Rustic Casa Naranja (2Bdrm+Loft) - 5mins to Beach!

Located in Playa Lagartillo, on 5 acre lot, offers tranquility and is just a short 300 meters walk down a footpath to the beach. 2 Bedrooms + a Loft. Can accommodate up to 7 people. Rustic home. High 30ft ceilings and well ventilated. Lots of space. Two world class surf beaches within 2km. Wrap around porch. Horses on site. Flat-screen TV in unit. NEW 50/50 fiber optic internet. Great rural location 5 minute walk to beach. There is no AC, please do no book if you need AC. The space We got the new 50mb/50mb fiber optic internet! This is great for working remotely. Keep in mind you are in rural, rustic, CR. If you expect no geckos and no dust, this is not the place for you. It's dirt roads and chickens and horses and surfing beaches, and lovely people but not a hotel, its a rustic home on the beach. There may be spiderwebs. Large lot. There are motion security cameras outside only. They point outside to the corridors to keep the house and guests safe. There is no AC. Please do not book if you need AC. The location on a large 5 acres is great, with lime trees, palm trees, mango trees. Horses are often in the yard, and monkeys, especially during mango season. Right in between Playa Negra and Avellanas. House is all custom done but older now. House is split in two, the back apartment has its own entrance at the back of house. You have the front of the house. Airbnb will not remove reviews even if I report them as inacurate: There are only cameras outside, and none of them point inside, you will see this for yourself, or I am happy to show you the feed. Yes the house does not have AC, we have never claimed it does, this does mean it will be just as hot inside as outside. If that is not ok, please dont book. The check in instructions are completely accurate, I have checked them and asked Aribnb to remove that review but they won't. Yes you do share the house, it is split, as any house is split, with a wall. We have a door between the two so that if it is a large family, they can rent both sides of the house together. And lastly, please remember this is $40 a night in low season, its great if you are realistic what you expect for that price per night. Not what you want it to have, or have more of. A hostel is minimum of $15 a night per person, and that is only a bed, please consider these things when valueing the home and the stay. Guest access You can use the garage and the washing machine at the back of the house. The washing machine is shared with guests on the other side of the house. Other things to note Please keep all property gates closed, we have horses on the property sometimes. Please be conservative with the water, we use our own well water here. We drink the water on hand, but if you prefer to buy water you can. Please put toilet paper in the bin, not the toilet. We have cameras on the outside porches, NOT in the inside. We want you to have a great stay with us so, with that in mind we would ask that you please make sure to ask any questions you have about the house or the area. The more you know about the house, the more accurate your expectations will be. If you have limited mobility, talk to us about if this is the right stay for you. If you don’t know the location, please check it before booking. If the roads concern you, please ask us about them. If the season and weather might be a concern, please ask about those. There are things about our home we cannot change; location, weather, seasons, road conditions, etc, and its always easier for everyone if you know what to expect, so please reach out about those before your stay as those are things we can’t change for you but you can decide not to book if you receive relevant information and you decide its not right for you. Examples of things that have happened that might be good to ask us about before you book: Guest doesn’t have a car: please ask if this is the right place for you so you are informed before you arrive. Guest is older and does not walk well: beach paths can change with the seasons, and become slippery, please ask if this would affect you. Guest does not like mud: There can be mud and water on the road in rainy season. Guest is very tall: our beds are standard lengths. Guest says foliage is no longer green: Guanacaste does change with the seasons, it gets dry in dry season. These are things we cannot change, and will not refund you for, so please ask as many questions as you need to be sure. Have a great day.
