This property situated on Lewis Lake is the perfect place to soak-in all the mountains and lake offer. The space Whether you're seeking a summer getaway or a winter retreat, this property offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure! This cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage with finished basement (which contains additional sleeping space) is a perfect way to disconnect and take in the lake, mountains, and trails. All told, this cottage can sleep up to eight (6 adults & 2 kids). 2 per bedroom and up to 4 in the basement. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. In the basement there is a 3rd queen sized bed and bunk beds (Bunks are narrow and tight. Good for children. Very cramped for adults.) Disclaimers: This is a rural mountain getaway with lake front access. 1. Please be aware, the only access to the cottage is via a rural bumpy stone dirt road, with inclines. We recommend access only by vehicles with ground clearance (SUV's, CUV's, Trucks). Sedans, sports cars, and vehicles that are set lower to the ground will very likely scrape bottom. 2. There are no sidewalks or walkways. Be prepared for wet, possibly slick, uneven pathways to/around the property. 3. When booking a stay, guests and all party members assume any and all risks associated with access to and from the property, the terrain, use of second-story deck, the lake, and/or other aspects associated with a rural mountain guest stay. Life preservers are available and strongly encouraged for all lake activities. Guest access - Whole Cottage (2 level) - 2nd Story Deck - Dock - Boating Vessels (2 kayaks, pedal boat, canoe, and row boat) - Life preservers are available and strongly encouraged for all lake activities. Parking area: - Room for up to 4 vehicles. - Approximately 30 paces to deck. Other things to note Location & Accessibility: Explore the nearby D&H and O&W Rail Trails; perfect for hiking, biking, and off-road adventures. For the more adventurous you can hike up Elk Mountain during the off-skiing season. Spend your summers paddling, fishing, or simply soaking up the sun on the dock and water. Whether it's water sports, fishing, or hiking and exploring, there's something for everyone just steps from the front door! Local Amenities: - Less than a mile from this cottage sits Cables General Store. Originally established in 1910, Cables is great old-time throwback to the community general stores of old. They offer a variety of quality breakfast and casual dining options. - Additionally, there are number of great local restaurants and watering holes, within a short drive of the lake! You’ll definitely want to check out The Beacon Bar & Grill (1.7 miles), The Speakeasy Saloon & Resort (4.6 miles), Arlo’s Country Store & Tavern (5.5 miles), and Chet’s Place (6.5 miles)! - Should you be in need of last minute supplies, Arlo’s Country store is your typical down home/small town convenience mini-mart spot (ice, toiletries, food, beverages, beer, wine, etc.) - The closest town with a supermarket is Forrest City (6.4 miles). Zazzera's Super Market should cover most additional needs.
