The Grand Castalian Inn Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Berkeley Springs, WV! An ideal location- quiet and secluded, yet walking distance to our charming downtown. Our luxury bed and breakfast with modern comforts is unlike traditional B&Bs while still preserving the long history of this stunning Victorian home. Each room is a different vacation with their own character and theme. You'll find a room that feels like it was made just for you. The space Our most elegant room is inspired by the towns own Berkeley Castle, with lavish detail that will bring you back to the Gilded Age. Located on the first floor, this room is designed to be ADA accessible, with a double-door shower, modified sink, and extra wide doors. This opulent room will make your special someone feel like the king or queen of the castle complete with cozy fireplace, ROKU 85" screen TV, and a spacious walk in shower, and a private table for two. The first floor opens into a spacious dining area. Enjoy a luxurious breakfast served continental style on our adorned dining tables or lounge on our outdoor patio with bistro table. BREAKFAST- is served between 8:30AM to 10AM every morning. Fri and Sat will be served an entre item in addition to the continental offerings. At night, warm yourself in front of our fire pit under the stars. With the addition of our outdoor grill you can make it a BBQ night. Guest access There is plenty of parking in our private driveway in front of the house or on the street. A ramp on the north side of the house leads onto the porch for easy access. Each door is equipped with a key pad for extra security. Every guest will receive their own code. The second floor is accessed through the grand staircase of Castalian Hall with the original woodwork and features. Unfortunately, the Bird Nest is on the second level and is only accessed from the stairway, NO ADA access. During your stay Our goal is your comfort and we strive to exceed your expectations. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We are local and will quickly respond. Other things to note The Castalian Hall is a large, historic home. Much of the home is original, and we are trying to preserve the features to last many years to come. The large windows are beautiful but old, some are difficult to open. Please do not force windows, if they are stuck, call us. The plumbing is replaced, but because of the size of the house, hot water can take a few minutes. Please be patient when running the water. The stairway is original, please treat it well. Rooms are not noise proof and may carry sound through the spacious home. Quiet time is after 10pm, please be respectful to other guests.
