Ironside is the biggest lodge around, and is set in the heart of the Prairie Pothole Region (aka Duck Factory) of Kidder County. World renowned hunting, fishing, and birding. Big Ironside is perfect for large hunting or fishing groups, yet clean and comfortable enough for families. The ONLY lodge of this size in the area, and the only with a huge attached heated shop/garage for gear, dogs, trailers, or trucks. The space The climate can be harsh on the Prairie, and Big Ironside is built to withstand it all.. It was built by a metal worker in the 70's so he built this home the way he knew how to, out of Iron and steel. It's a very modest country home with minimal bells and whistles but plenty of beds, a working kitchen, WiFi, central air, and space a-plenty, including a massive attached garage. In addition to numerous beds, there are pull out couches. Robinson, ND is in the heart of the Prairie Pothole Region of central North Dakota and part of the Central Flyway. In addition to excellent duck and goose hunting, Robinson boasts excellent upland hunting consisting of Pheasants, Sharptail Grouse, Hungarian Partridge, and Whitetail Deer. Last but not least, Robinson is in the middle of phenomenal and nationally-known bird watching, with Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge just 30 miles east, and Horsehead Lake just 5 miles to the south.
