This attractive, ensuite room at the heart of a beautiful, quiet village is an ideal base for exploring the fabulous North East coast. Just two miles from the sea and a stone's throw from two lovely pubs you can relax in comfort. The private room has woodland views, luxury ensuite walk-in shower, TV, two armchairs and good wi-fi connection. Tea and coffee making, fridge and continental breakfast (muesli, granola, yogurt, fruit, pastries and juice) are provided so you can enjoy a cosy lie-in. The space The room is a spacious, upstairs bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables and bedside lamps. There's a sitting area with two comfy chairs and coffee table plus desk and chair. There's a small TV (network channels only) and a Radio/Bluetooth speaker. The room has good wi-fi connection and USB sockets. It's attractively furnished with cushions, throws and original art and has a lovely view across a small wooded close. There are blackout blinds at the window to ensure a good night's sleep. The room has a fridge and milk, juice, yogurt and fruit will be provided along with muesli, granola and pastries so you can have breakfast before heading out for the day. Oat milk and vegan yogurt can be provided on request. There's a kettle and a selection of teas plus ground coffee and a cafetiere. Adjoining the bedroom is a spacious bathroom with toilet, hand basin and large walk-in shower. Towels, hair-dryer and complementary toiletries are provided. A travel cot, high chair, baby bath and changing mat can be provided on request. There's ample hanging and drawer space plus under-bed storage for your things. Please note: Unfortunately we have no lift access. Also, if you are at risk of allergies, please be aware there is a dog in the house though you are unlikely to meet her as she lives downstairs and will be kept separate from you during your visit. The dog has no access to bedrooms but there may be traces of dust or fur on the hall and stairs. Other things to note Earsdon is a great place to visit. The village has a rich history and is significant in the coal-mining heritage of the area. There are two friendly pubs that both serve food. The Red Lion has a lively Quiz Night on Tuesdays. Close by are wonderful sandy beaches - at Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth - and there is a vibrant paddleboard, kayaking and wild swimming scene, especially at Cullercoats. There's an extensive network of footpaths cycle tracks and Wagon Ways for walkers and cyclists and plenty of opportunities for watching birds, seals and dolphins. Whitley Bay, a ten minute drive away, has an array of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and a small independent cinema (Jam Jar Cinema). The city of Newcastle - for theatres, galleries, music venues, shops and quality football - is easily reached by car, bus, Metro or the new Northumberland Line train from Seaton Delaval station. If you want to travel further afield, Northumberland has a wealth of places of interest. An hour's journey will take you to the Roman Wall, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Durham, Rothbury or the Cheviot Hills.
