Domestic Flight (Recommended): The fastest and most convenient way to get here is with a domestic flight from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José directly to the Puerto Jiménez airport (PJ). The flight is only 45-60 minutes and saves you a long road trip. Airlines like Sansa Airlines offer this service. 2. By Car: If you prefer the freedom of a road trip, you can rent a car in San José. The drive takes approximately 7 to 8 hours and allows you to enjoy stunning landscapes along the way. For added convenience, and if you plan to explore the surrounding area, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle. 3. By Bus: For a more economical option, you can take a public bus from San José to Puerto Jiménez. This is the longest method (around 9 hours), but it's a great way to see the country.
