The space Welcome to Black's Cliff Resort! A family owned and operated establishment for generations on the beautiful Lake Lower Kaubashine in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. Our cabins were built in 1918 and our family purchased the resort in 1946. Although we have remodeled through the years with a mix of new furnishings and amenities, we have made sure to retain the cabins’ Northwoods charm. We have a total of 11 cabins on the main property in addition to our lodge. A couple of properties down on Lower Kaubashine Road is our two secluded houses rented by guests as well. Our resort is located 2 miles off the highway down a beautiful country road that winds around our lake. Guest access Main beach, docks and swimming area are a block away. Just follow the boardwalk behind your cabin and you will find the stairs down to the beach. We have 80 acres of private hiking/snowshoeing trails across the road from the entrance gate. Our rec room is called the “Office” and it is located across from the main lodge and playground. It is open to all guests anytime for games and movies. Text or call us during daytime if you would like to access our gift shop. Next to the office is the sauna and the volleyball court is behind the playground. The firewood shed is along the resort’s gravel road parallel to Lower Kaubashine Road near the office. There is a sign for trailer parking along this gravel road as well. Other things to note We ask if possible for guests to bring towels for the kitchen and bathroom. If you need them, please ask and we will provide. Bring along toiletries, coffee, spices, paper towels, napkins, etc. We are one of the few resorts that allow dogs. Please help us continue this tradition by following the rules. Dog Policy: Pets will be an additional $15 per night or $75 per week We ask dog owners to observe the following: -No barking -All guest dogs must be on a leash unless at dog park. -Remember your pooper scooper. -No dogs at the beach during swimming hours. -Dogs are not to be left in the cabins alone unless they are confined in an indoor dog kennel or permission has been granted by office to be left alone. -You will be held responsible for any damage, including pet hair on the furniture or bedding or dog scratches in our doors, screens and windows. -Dogs are not to be on our bedding or furniture. -Dogs are not to be tied to trees or around the cabin unattended. -No more than one dog allowed per cabin and no other animals unless permission is granted by office.
