Welcome to The Manse — a place made for togetherness. This historic home has been thoughtfully restored so that groups can gather again: to cook, talk, laugh, reconnect and wake up under the same roof. Nestled in the heart of Enniscorthy, this grand 10 bedroom, 14 bed, home combines old-world charm with modern comforts, making it the perfect getaway for families, friends, or special occasions. Outside, enjoy the charm of a period home surrounded by the beauty of Enniscorthy. The space The Manse is a spacious, listed period property built between 1905 and 1910, originally designed as a residence for priests. It offers both historic charm and modern amenities, perfect for large families, groups, or special events. We don’t cater for hens or stags. Key Features: • Bedrooms: 10 (2 with ensuite bathrooms). There are 8 double/king beds, 1 bedroom with bunk beds for kids, and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds also suitable for kids / teenagers. We also have a 2 single sofa beds which we can place in rooms as required. And finally 2 travel cots. • Bathrooms: 1 bathroom with bath and separate shower and toilet; and an additional toilet adjoining the bathroom. 1 shower rooms upstairs and 2 toilets downstairs. These are in addition to the 2 en-suites. • Dining Room: A grand 95sqm space, perfect for gatherings and dining • Reception Rooms: 1 comfortable living area for relaxation and socialising, and 1 sitting room looking out to the garden. • Playroom: A dedicated space for younger kids. A library / gaming room is upstairs for the older kids and adults. • Office: A private area for work or study • Kitchen: Fully equipped with supporting pantry room with additional fridge freezer fore more ice-cream, wine etc. :) Additional Details: • Period features throughout, with high ceilings, large windows, and intricate detailing • Ample space to accommodate large groups comfortably • Located in Enniscorthy town centre, literally beside shops, pubs and restaurants, and close to local attractions. The Manse offers a unique blend of historic elegance and modern comfort, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation and exploration. Guest access As our valued guests, you’ll have full access to The Manse’s expansive and comfortable living spaces. Our grand dining room features a table that seats 18, perfect for shared meals. Two separate chill-out zones offer relaxation opportunities, complete with a keyboard and a large TV ideal for group movie nights or game days. As a young family ourselves, we’ve curated the house to be family-friendly, providing a variety of toys, board games, garden games, and books. We also have a multi-purpose games table for pool, table tennis and air hockey which is currently in the large dining room. The Manse has been a cherished parochial house for the past 120 years, and we’re honored to be the first non-clergy owners. Since moving in, we’ve been dedicated to updating this old house, preserving its unique character while enhancing its comfort with modern amenities. We kindly ask you to respect its heritage and inform us promptly if anything breaks or is damaged during your stay. Other things to note The Manse is a historic and charming home, offering a comfortable and family-friendly environment. As a listed period property built between 1905 and 1910, it retains many original features that add to its unique character. While we are actively updating and modernizing the house to enhance your experience. You may notice some signs of its age, such as minor cracks in the walls, flaky paint, but rest assured, everything is safe and well-maintained. We believe these imperfections contribute to the home’s charm and authenticity. We kindly ask guests to respect its heritage and inform us promptly if anything breaks or is damaged during your stay. To enhance your future experiences, a few rooms are currently under renovation, including the addition of a traditional Irish shebeen. These areas will be securely closed off during your visit, ensuring your privacy and safety….we were working hard to get the shebeen finished in time for summer 2025 but this looks like a late December 2025 finish at best…plenty of space for a bit of craic agus ceoil!!! Local Attractions and Accessibility The Manse is ideally situated in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, offering easy access to a variety of attractions: • Beaches: The renowned Curracloe Beach, famous for its golden sands and as a filming location for “Saving Private Ryan,” is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Rosslare Strand, another beautiful Blue Flag beach, is about 40 minutes by car. • Historical Sites: Explore local history at the National 1798 Rebellion Centre in Enniscorthy, just a short walk from The Manse. Further afield, visit Hook Lighthouse, one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world, and the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford. • Family Activities: The Secret Valley Wildlife Park and Wells House & Gardens offer enjoyable outings for all ages.
