Little Luscious Farm Cottage

The cosy guest cottage on our flower farm in South Gippsland offers amazing views from our lush green rolling hills, and a peaceful, comfortable, rural setting to read, paint, walk or nap. An easy 10 mins drive from the town of Mirboo North, we're 1.75hrs from Melbourne, and 30 mins from the coast, and 50 mins to Wilson's Prom. The cottage, with carefully-chosen vintage finds, is self-contained with two queen beds, a kitchenette, and renovated bathroom with Japanese toilet and Aesop products. The space IMPORTANT: Please note that there is one dedicated bedroom with a queen bed, and another queen bed in the living space. This is open to the kitchenette and bathroom but there is a small room divider for a little privacy. Would suit two friends, two couples on good terms, or a parent/child. There is no living or dining area, no lounge, but there is a desk and chair with view over the garden. The quaint kitchenette is not renovated yet but has the basics, with a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, rice cooker, airfryer and microwave, as well as full fridge/freezer. Breakfast is available at an additional cost - please advise before your visit. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a sink, shower and toilet. In weather fine, an outdoor table and chairs for dining or work space can be set up for you. Special events can be arranged separately with advance notice. Dogs are welcome as long as they are supervised and happy to play with our black Labrador, Flora. Other animals will be considered but please send a note to check first. Due to our country location in a bushfire zone, we get very nervous about smoking and outdoor fires, so encourage you to visit one of our neighbouring towns such as Mirboo North, Meeniyan and Leongatha for a smoke fix. Thanks for understanding. Guest access The guest cottage is all yours during your stay, but is close to the main house with shared driveway and gardens. We like to meet all guests on arrival and provide a little tour. You are free to explore the property at your leisure, as well as have a personal tour at a time which suits you. One highlight of our location is the incredible view from the top of the hill. It's worth grabbing your phone to take some photos, or a sketch pad or notebook if inspired to be creative. Free WiFi is available and access will be provided upon arrival. This will enable mobile reception around the cottage, but other areas further afield can be patchy. We have security cameras around the property but none which should impact your privacy. Other things to note We are a working farm in the country so there will occasionally be noise from machinery, as well as neighbouring animals. There is also a lot of wildlife, including resident wombats, koalas, kookaburras, parrots, rabbits and butterflies. During the hotter months, we have snakes, so please be sure to bring proper walking shoes and long pants should you venture into the paddocks, and always be alert. There are also spiders, cockroaches and other critters who may make some visitors uncomfortable.
