Yew Tree Cottage has parts dating back 300 years; it has ceiling heights that are low in places and nothing is “quite straight” but this only adds to its quirkiness, charm and character. It has recently been sympathetically and simply restored. The cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate three people. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom, with a king size bed and a Smart TV, leading onto a separate study/sitting area to relax or catch up with work and a single bedroom. The stairs are original and steep, making the property not suitable for mobile, young children. Downstairs is a small but well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven, microwave and butler sink. A dining room leads into a cosy lounge area with a wood burning stove to relax in front of whilst reading, listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker, playing games or watching a film on the Smart TV. The bathroom has been tastefully renovated to offer the choice of a relaxing bath or an overhead invigorating shower. The cottage is dog friendly and there is a fully enclosed front gravel area and a wilder back garden. There are plenty of dog walks opposite in the forest. The garden is south-facing; sit and enjoy a morning coffee on the outdoor seating. There is a gas Weber BBQ. There is parking for one car on the verge outside the cottage and further parking is available a few steps away in the local forest car park, opposite The Lamb Inn.
