Wellness B&B Meijdema

A lovely, rural nature cottage with wellness facilities. On the deck, you'll find the hot tub, the electric charcoal sauna, and the fire pit. Here, you can enjoy peace, nature and quality time. In the evening, the children can relax in bed while you take the monitor with you and still enjoy the wellness facilities. There are plenty of games to entertain you, and the surrounding area has plenty to offer! The accommodation can accommodate up to 6 people, of which a maximum of 4 adults. The space A country getaway where the furniture is made, among other things, from the old wooden footbridge from Dokkum. The accommodation and the wellness facilities are for private use. Downstairs is the bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Upstairs is the children's box bed with two firm mattresses and a play table. In the room next door, you will find the high table from which you have a view over the countryside for miles. Here you can spot deer and birds of prey with the binoculars on the table, or play games, which we offer in large numbers. In the same room, there is also the double loft bed that overlooks the sunrise. And a sofa made of sturdy single mattresses, which can be pulled out to form a double bed. Also see the floor plan in the gallery. Would you like to lie down for a while and look up at the canopy of leaves? You can do that under the loft bed! Fun for the kids to play under. On the outside, we have built a beautiful deck with the *sauna and hot tub (no bubbles) on it. There is a possibility to grill on the fire bowl, and we have a tripod that you can place over the fire. Hang the pan from it and cook in a unique way over the fire! There is no option for cooking in the accommodation. However, there is a refrigerator where you can store some food and drinks. We ourselves offer a *pizzarette, cheese fondue and some snacks and drinks, so that you can enjoy the wellness facilities and the accommodation without having to go out. * During the winter months (October through March), we charge a surcharge of €25 to keep the B&B and the hot tub warm. * We heat the sauna for you once per night. Each additional use of the sauna costs €25,- at a time. (So for 2 nights, we heat the sauna twice, etc.). * Please note: We need time to prepare the Pizzarette, fresh pizza from the oven (April to September), cheese fondue and certain snacks. We would like to know in advance whether you wish to take advantage of this. * Breakfast is optional. We can provide this if we know 48 hours in advance. Breakfast costs €20 per person per day. We will send you more information about this when you book your stay. Children up to 12 years old: €15 * The deposit is paid directly to the host and amounts to €300. If everything is in order, it will be refunded as soon as possible. Within 2 business days at the latest. * Our municipality charges a tourist tax of €2.00 per person per night. We have a camp bed for an extra child, if necessary, or for a child you would prefer not to let sleep in the bedstead. There is a bumper available for the bedstee, so that extra safety is ensured. A changing pad may also be available. In consultation, we can set up a co-sleeper or crib (for an additional fee). This will then only be in the living room; see the floor plan in the gallery. Guest access Navigate to Wellness B&B Meijdema. Upon arrival, there is enough space to park 2 cars on the driveway. From there, you can easily walk to the entrance of the B&B. There is a low gate and a high gate around the B&B and Wellness area. This is the partition between the house and the B&B. By walking around the garage (where the B&B is built), you will reach the terrace and the Wellness area. Several seating areas have been created on and around the deck, where you can enjoy a snack/drink or, of course, cool off after using the sauna. During your stay At check-in, we may be present to hand over the key. Before then, we will be working to get the hot tub up to temperature so that you can get in right away. That's nice :). We have a brochure ready for you at the B&B, which you can read through at your leisure after the short tour and instructions. Here you will find information about the stay, the wellness facilities, where you can eat and drink, for example, and what there is to do in the area. Is there anything you need in the meantime? Then you can reach us at the number also listed in the brochure. Is it an emergency? Then feel free to ring the bell. We are often just at home. If all goes well and you have booked breakfast with us, we will see you in the morning when we come to deliver breakfast at the agreed time. Otherwise, we'll see you when you check out. Of course, it is also possible not to have any contact with us. If so, please let us know! Or it may happen that we are unable to be there due to personal circumstances. We will then send a message with some explanations that we normally give during the tour. Other things to note Our space has a loft bed of 160x200cm and a sofa bed of 80x200cm that can be extended to 160x200cm. The mattresses are firm and can also be used for additional children. As standard, we make up the loft bed with a double duvet. For more people, we will make up the sofa bed. We have created a children's bedstead in which the mattresses lie lengthwise against each other. This way, two children can sleep in it. You can get into the bedstead using the steps. The door can be closed, or if desired, we can put a bumper by the door. If necessary, we have a travel crib to lend for a child who cannot sleep in the box bed.
