Living area: Smart TV, Electric Fire, Sofa Bed (Double), French Doors Leading To Decking Dining area. Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, American Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Bathroom: Bath, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Front lawned garden with sitting out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen and stag parties; holidaymakers, couples and family bookings only. There are 2 unfenced ponds in the garden, 20 metres from the property, however the property and a sizeable area is fully fenced from them. The property is accessed via a farm track. Welcome to The Lodge at Newmeads Farm, set in 50 acres of woodland, just a stone’s throw from Glastonbury Tor and full of local wildlife. The lodge has been finished to a high standard, enter into the large open plan living area, diner and kitchen, with vaulted ceilings and large French doors bringing in masses of light. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an American fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. The living room has a double sofa bed and an electric fire for those cooler evenings to cosy up in front of, or in the summer fling open the French doors to the decked terrace and allow the fresh country air in. The master bedroom has a double bed, plenty of wardrobe storage and a large en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has twin beds while the spacious bathroom has a bath, toilet and heated towel rail. Outside, the lodge has a large, decked area with garden furniture to enjoy the views across the fields, there are 2 large ponds next to the lodge which attract all kinds of wildlife, which makes for a wonderful way to spend time when not exploring the local attractions. In less than a mile there is a local farm with shop and spa retreat, Middlewick Farm and in 1.5 miles there is a local beer shop. The ancient medieval town of Glastonbury can be reached in just 5 minutes by car or head across the fields by foot and be there in 20 minutes while skirting the base of the Tor at the same time. Glastonbury is full of eclectic shops as well as bars, restaurants and museums to explore, where you can enjoy the 36 acres of Glastonbury Abbey and soak up the legends and myths of King Arthur, after learning all about the ruins from the excellent museum. Hop in the car and visit the designer outlet at Clarks Village in Street for some retail bargains, head to Cheddar to visit the famous gorge and sample some Yes Cheddar Cheese or see if you can find the Witch at Wookey Hole Caves! The smallest city in the UK, Wells is definitely worth a visit, especially on market days, Wednesday and Saturday, when the streets come alive with local stalls by the cathedral. Other things to note FROM THE M5 MOTORWAY: Leave M5 at junction 23. Take the A39 towards Glastonbury. As you approach Glastonbury with Avalon Plastics on your left take the second exit off the B & Q roundabout. Straight over two more roundabouts. At the third roundabout (Tin Bridge) take the second exit onto Wells Road, turn left immediately past West Mendip Hospital (Old Wells Road). Just past the hospital take first left signposted Brindham/Wick. We are 1.5 miles on the left signposted Newmeads Farm/Splotts Moor Farm opposite the Old Oaks Touring Park. Follow drive to farmhouses then signs to The Lodge. FROM WELLS/BRISTOL: Take the A39 towards Glastonbury. Follow signs for West Mendip Hospital. Just passed the hospital turn immediately left left signposted Brindham/Wick. We are 1.5 miles of the left signposted Newmeads Farm/Splotts Moor Farm opposite the Old Oaks Touring Park. Follow drive to farmhouses then signs to The Lodge. FROM SHEPTON MALLET: Take the A361 towards Glastonbury. Pass through West Pennard then Havyatt and 150 yards past Prestige Cars turn right at sign for Wick. We are 1 mile on the right signposted Newmeads Farm/Splotts Moor Farm just before the Old Oaks Touring Park. Follow drive to farmhouses then signs to The Lodge. FROM THE S/E: Leave the A303 at Podimore Roundabout, take the fourth exit the A37 signposted Shepton Mallet/Frome/Bath/Bristol. In approx.12 miles turn left onto the A361 to Glastonbury. Follow directions as above from Shepton Mallet.
