The Constantine Tower

The interior decor is very refined with various details of Moroccan origin, the kitchen is equipped with a small fridge, sink and 4 burners; the bedroom has a large wardrobe and, in addition to the two windows, it has a trap door that opens on the ceiling and allows you to cool the Tower in case of great heat. The temperature in the Tower is always pleasant due to the great thickness of the walls. This Tower, one of the few circular and non-square ones, is called “Torre Costantina” and offered refuge to the inhabitants of the town when the Turkish pirates invaded the island: from it they could also control the accesses 360 degrees thanks to the slits in the large walls, still visible even if closed to the outside. In the 1950s, the tower hosted numerous artists and intellectuals who frequented Forio, including the Swiss painter Lelo Fiaux and her friend, the Forian painter Bolivar. Guest access The terrace of the Tower is for the exclusive use of guests. The garden is shared with the owner: there are various areas with deck chairs or hammocks and therefore you can stay in the same garden without disturbing each other. Other things to note The tourist tax is not listed on Airbnb. In the municipality of Forio, the tourist tax is 2 euros per night per person up to a maximum of 7 nights.
