This unique guesthouse is situated in historic Peekskill, NY, in Westchester county near the Putnam County line. Our charming Victorian neighborhood rests on a gentle slope, 5 mins walk from the Hudson River Park and the Peekskill train station (Metro-North). Enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Hudson River Valley, with hiking, boating, great places to dine, coffee houses and pubs. Blue Mountain Reservation biking paths and the Bear Mountain Bridge lead to hiking paths and the Appalachian Trail. The space Hudson Valley River House is located in West Peekskill, a 5-minute walk to the Metro-North Train Station (Hudson River Line). Our 3-story wood frame home offers comfy beds and a full kitchen. Guests are invited to lounge on the rear wood-deck with canopy, or wander the lower deck and flower garden. Driveway and street parking is ample. Guest access Our Living room, Dining rooms, 3 Guest bedrooms and Kitchen open onto a spacious rear Deck and flower garden. Laundry facilities are in the basement. There is a full Bathroom with shower on the second floor, and 1/2 Bath on the first. During your stay A long-time resident of the Hudson River Valley, your experienced host is immediately available at all times. The house has a long history of sharing space as a former Co-Op. We celebrate healthy lifestyles and promote composting/ recycling, and support vegetarian/ pescatarian diets. The vegetable and flower gardens are fully organic and naturally grown, and our guests will be delighted by the numerous farm stores, artisanal bakeries, and farmers markets nearby. Other things to note We welcome our Guests from many different cities and countries, and even more especially those from the Artist communities. In the past we have hosted artists and architects, sculptors, composers, and designers. All are welcome.
