Description
Imagine the joy of being the only camper on a private, natural pine ranch with 1,337 acres. Come stay in our new, fully equipped RV, complete with full amenities, & hiking access to the entire property. Pets are welcome! We're just 25 mins from Gainesville, 45 mins from Ocala, & 2 hrs from Orlando. The space Our Ranch was purchased by the Host's grandmother after her first husband was killed in World War 2. She took part of the money given to her by the government and bought the initial tract. The host's father increased the size of the Property tremendously in the 90s and early-2000s, and today it encompasses 1, 337 acres. The Property is an old Spanish land grant, originally owned by the Sanchez Family, which used to be a large cattle family in the State of Florida. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public. _________ Our 34 ft long Puma Camper is one of the largest bumper pull trailers available. Think of it as a destination trailer. When you're inside, its length and 2 slide outs, as well as King-size master bedroom, feel as though you are in a small house or modular home. The kitchen is huge, and the bathroom is spacious, even by RV standards. The Puma RV is fully equipped, like a home. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes, pots/pans, and it has a Keurig, tea kettle, propane stove, microwave, toaster, etc. Smart TVs are in the living space and in the bedroom. Guests can also enjoy central, ducted A/C & heat like a regular home, as well as electric fireplace, upgraded RV toilet & shower, as well as an indoor & outdoor stereo. There is also an outdoor shower, & washer/dryer adjacent the trailer. Fast fiber Wifi is also included. On the outside, guests can enjoy an outdoor seating area elevated on a nice, spacious concrete slab. There is also a propane grill, firepit with cooking grate, as well as firewood. This trailer is perfect for the romantic getaway, weekend camping trips, or even as a temporary home for guests looking for something more long term than a weekend stay. Guest access Guests have full access to our 1300 acres to hike, explore & enjoy nature. Guests can drive around the Property with their vehicle to explore certain areas by foot. This is the ONLY campsite for now, so you really do have the Property all to yourself--except for the owners (when present). NO ATVs, golf carts, or Side-by-sides allowed. Hot tub operational during Winter. Other things to note Please let host know when you're arriving so you can be escorted to the site. This site has a hot tub in the Winter. Please verify its operation prior to arrival if you’re booking for that reason. *2 adults, 2 children limit inside trailer. The master bed sleeps 2, & the pullout couch sleeps 2 (really for children, as adults won't find it very comfortable.) *Guests may bring more children or adults if they would like to set up a tent outside, but you must clear that with host first. Because of the size of the Property, guests must drive approximately 2 miles in the woods from the entrance to the campsite. All-wheel-drive is not necessary, but please note that the driveway is unpaved, and is sandy, as well as graveled/washboard in some portions. The driveway may not be suitable for exotic vehicles low to the ground. This campsite is located next to one of the owner's cabin, which is most often vacant, and is used primarily in the Winter. Owners respect guest privacy at all times. When guests are outside on the concrete pad in front of the trailer, you can't even see or hear the cabin on the other side. The step from the concrete to the RV's steps may be a bit awkward for some, but that's just the way we have it set up as the concrete pad predates the trailer. The host manages short-term rentals professionally in 3 states, and is usually in VA & WV during Spring, Summer & Fall, & is in FL during the Winter. When not present, the host has a brother/manager that is always present to answer questions or to guide guests. Our business is rooted in offering unique, private rentals on stellar land--free from crowds. We own the land. We have over 450 5-star reviews on Airbnb, and we have been hosting for over 5 years.
