Organic winegrower's house in Rossatz

The house belongs to a small organic winery. It is located in the oldest part of Rossatz, a place with a historic town center and the best views of Dürnstein. The foundations of the building date back to the late Middle Ages, since then many generations have lived here and created a wonderful house. Since 2019 the house has been very carefully renovated. We are especially happy to welcome families, because we know how beautiful Sommerfrische is in the Wachau. The space Rossatz is the place where we spend the bigger part of our family holidays every year. The connection goes back a long way: My grandparents lived in Rossatz, my father was born here, before he later moved to Vienna. And I spent the summers of my childhood here. 5 years ago we bought this old winemaker's house, founded a small business and fulfilled a big dream. Since then we have been working to create a place with warmth, peace and joy. We have already succeeded in some things and we would like to share that.... Guest access Guests can use an entire apartment with a bedroom, a kitchen, a living room with bed. In addition, the garden is available for private use. By arrangement, further rooms of the house can be rented as well and the most beautiful spots in the vineyards can be used (terrace in the vineyard with Dürnstein view). Other things to note Rossatz and the Wachau are a wonderful places spent holidays. There are an incredible number of ways to be active and do sports. Hiking, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, climbing and of course - cycling. If you have been on the road all day, it is rewarding to nicely eat and drink products of the highest quality. There, too, is an incredible variety, ranging from simple Heurigen to fine dining. I am happy to advise you on sports and culinary delights and everything else you want to know!
