Grove B&B: Big Leaf Maple Family Room

We offer a traditional B&B experience — you get a private room in our home and a yummy breakfast! You can reserve 1 to 3 separate guest rooms for you, your friends, or your family. The Big Leaf Family Room is our largest room, with a private entrance and bathroom. An optional queen bed and extra space may be available—please message for details. Relax, enjoy the hot tub, bird-watch, read a book, play games, sit on the deck with comfy furniture and a propane fire table. The space Nestled on a serene 1-acre lot, our traditional B&B offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by mature trees with ocean glimpses through the foliage. Close to beaches: take a 5-to-8-minute stroll down to Gallagher Bay and Piggott Bay, explore the beaches for treasures, swim, drop-in your kayak or paddleboard, or watch the sunrise or sunset, depending on the season. We have a level 2 EV charging station. Guest access We’ll meet you when you arrive and give you a quick orientation to the house and property. We’ll chat about what time you’d like breakfast, and we’ll do our best to accommodate any dietary needs (advanced notice required). Feel free to come and go as you like—just keep our house rules in mind and respect quiet hours after 10 p.m. If we can make an early check in work, we’re happy to do so. During your stay If you’re looking for ideas on what to do during your visit to Mayne Island, just ask! We’re always happy to share local tips—our favourite spots, walks and hikes, great places to eat, and more. Other things to note Dining: Mayne is a small island with a couple great restaurants, consider reservations during high season. Grocery stores close at 6 pm. Getting here: If you are coming from Vancouver, or the Tsawwassen terminal, make sure your reserve your Ferry in advance. If coming from Victoria, or the Swartz Bay terminal, you can't make a reservation. This Ferry is first-come first-served, so be mindful if coming during the busy season, or on holiday weekends.
