Alohi The Panoramic Cottage synchronises well with the local landscape of Meghalaya and as the name suggests our cottage offers panoramic view of the lush green hills, pine trees, water cascades where can can hear the sound of flowing water which is truly rejuvenating and magical.The stay is crafted for the travellers who seek relaxation as well as adventure and those who want to experience raw and real nature. Come as you are with the open heart and feel the power of Cosmos. The space ## LOCATION## Our cottage is located at a tribal belt of EAST KHASI HILLS,MYLLIEM(UPPERSHILLONG). Mylliem is at a distance of 20 km from Shillong and from Cherrapujee it is at a distance of 35 km. Mylliem is located in between Shillong and Cherapunjee. It takes 30 mins drive to reach Mylliem from Shillong.From Mylliem you have to take left lane where the interior road takes you to a tiny village called MAWWAN and there the cottage is situated 3 km away from the main road. The road conditions are good and well maintained.However, since the cottage is bit remotely located, there are no general shops, departmental and medical stores nearby. ## SPACE## The moment you reach the cottage you shall be experiencing nature's true love and beauty. The environment is very fresh, pure, serene and peaceful where one could connect with nature at ease. Walking down the stream takes only 2 mins. The place is good for short treks and hikes as well. ##COTTAGE## ALOHI THE PANAROMIC COTTAGE is made very simple in a traditional tribal style, with less luxury but more peace and comfort. There are 2 rooms inside the cottage which are separated by a lockable door. One room has 1 double bed for 2 persons and 1 single bed for 1 person. And the second room has 1 floor mattress.On the higher side,4th guests can be accommodated at additional charge of rs 500 on the floor mattress.There is one attached private bathroom in the cottage with western toilet, shower and geyser facility. Electricity and water are available 24hrs a day. Sometimes,due to weather conditions there might be chances of electricity failure. As of now there is no power backup facility in the property.However, an emergency light is provided for temporary back-up. ##OUTDOORS## The outdoor corridor space can be freely used by the guests for relaxation. Bonfiring arrangements can be made too on chargeable basis. Sitting out, gaze through the stars and the colourful shades of evening sunset can be witnessesd and experienced.There is also a viewpoint area outside the cottage from where 360 degree panoramic view of the entire region can be captured. ##FOOD & LOCALS## Our crew at Alohi are local youths who are dedicated to serve you whole heartedly and make your stay a memorable one. Currently, we don’t have professional cook at the property so the food served is only tea, coffee, Maggi and bread toast at a very nominal price. However there is a good restaurant 2 km away from the property with many food options served throughout the day. ##WEATHER## Located by the lake and surrounded by the hills, weather is the most integral part to experience in Meghalaya. Winters(Nov, Dec ,Jan & Feb) is the best time ranging from cool to cold with a morning mist. Summers(March, April & May) is very shiney and pleasant during the day and the evening is again filled with cool breeze and colourful sunset. Monsoon(June, July & August) is undoubtedly the superbest with heavy velvety clouds, heaviest rainfall and lush green hills. ##NEIGHBOURHOOD## The neighborhood area is very peaceful which is a tiny hamlet called MAWWAN which consists of 700 people around. Take a stroll through the day and feel the raw beauty of the village. ##SIGHTSEENS## Exploring the GRAND LAITLUM CANYON can be done very easily since it's only 18 km from the property. The world famous DAWKI and CHERRAPUNJEE are 30 km and 60 km away respectively. ##PARKING## There is a free parking area available for all the guests inside the property.Its safe and secured. ##MEET & GREET## We would love and feel blessed to host all the good people from around the world and strive our best to make everyone's stay a memorable one.
