A peaceful, soulful retreat, perfect for romance, reflection, or creative escape. The space The property is a 138-year-old restored church. The parvise is now the entryway or mud room with church artefacts and memorabilia honouring the past. The nave is the lounge, dining, kitchen, pantry and breakfast bar area. The vestry is now a beautiful pristine clean bathroom. A deck has been built out the back where you can relax with a sundowner looking toward the Mill Brook or enjoy a quiet barbecue. Walk to Everything One of the best things about staying here is the incredible convenience. You’re just a short walk to Stroud’s cafés, food options, shops, and everyday essentials. Leave the car parked and enjoy an easy weekend pace. Heritage + Scenic Town Walks Explore Stroud on foot via the town’s self-guided heritage walk, taking you past historic buildings and local stories. Perfect for a relaxed late morning wander. There are also lovely town walks to scenic outlooks and viewpoints, especially magical at sunrise or golden hour. Perfect for Day Trips Stroud is an ideal base to explore the wider region, with easy access to: Barrington Tops National Park, Chichester Dam, Dungog, Tea Gardens, Nabiac and so many more... Local Foodie Favourites - if you love discovering regional gems, these two are well worth the drive: The Farmer’s Wife Distillery (Allworth) – a gorgeous stop for breakfast, lunch or a gin tasting flight. The Artisan Farmer (Nabiac) – a paddock-to-plate favourite with café, bakery and deli goodies to take home. Guest access The church is your space entirely and suited to singles or couples. The bedroom is up on the mezzanine level. Sensor lights ensure safe passage up and down the stairs during the night. An outdoor blind has been installed for privacy on the deck - just you and time - calm, secure and private. Other things to note We do NOT charge cleaning fees ever. We have recently installed a Nebula Capsule projector with Google TV and Netflix. Awesome picture and amazing sound! If you want to watch TV during the day, a projector is not that good (resulting from light diffusion) so do let us know and we will leave a 54" screen and HDMI cable in the church for you to use.
