Loon Landing - Cozy Cabin on Madeline Lake

Loon Landing is a cozy lakefront cabin nestled among the pines on the shore of Madeline Lake. Your stress will melt away as you take in the natural beauty of the Northwoods. Spend your days relaxing, fishing, or playing on the lake. Enjoy peaceful evenings listening to the loons, sitting by the fire, watching colorful sunsets, and gazing at the stars. The cabin provides the comforts of home with a touch of nostalgic charm, reminding you of simpler times and summer vacations. The space Loon Landing is a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on Madeline Lake. It is one of seven privately owned cabins on approximately 2.5 acres. The cabin has it's own outdoor space so the fire pit, chairs, picnic table, and dock are exclusively yours to use. So bring your boat or kayak, or you can rent one in town. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with new mattresses, bed linens, and ceiling fans. The main living area has comfortable seating, a gas fireplace and TV, and the kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, utensils, blender, auto drip and Keurig coffee makers. In addition to ceiling fans, there is a window A/C unit if needed. The cabin features new windows, siding, and covered front porch. Outside, you will have a fire pit surrounded by 4 large Adirondack chairs (firewood available for purchase), a charcoal grill, picnic table, and additional seating on the screened in porch - all with beautiful views of the lake. The bathroom is newly remodeled with a stand up shower and vanity and plenty of shelf space and hooks for hanging. We provide two bath towels per guest, for indoor use only. Please bring your own swimming/lake towels as well as your own toiletries, paper products, and hair dryer. Madeline Lake is connected to Lake Carol so you have access to over 500 acres of water for great fishing. (Crappie, Blue Gills, Walleye, Musky, Large and Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike). Launch your boat down the road and leave it tied to the dock in front of the cabin. Loon Landing is a place of peace and tranquility, but you will be close to great shops, restaurants, antique stores, golf courses, and bike/hiking and ATV trails. The popular town of Minocqua is less than 4 miles away. Also, be sure to dine at the nearby supper clubs to experience the delicious food, drink, and Northwoods charm this area is known for. Guest access Please make yourself at home in Loon Landing Cabin #3. You have access to the lake and outdoor space in front of the cabin with the fire pit and picnic table as well as the dock . The assigned dock is directly in front of the cabin. You also have parking spaces next to the cabin. If you have a boat or rent a boat, launch it down the road at the Boat Landing, and leave it tied to the dock in front of the cabin. If you have a boat trailer, you can either park it in front of your vehicle in the regular parking spot along the side of the cabin or you can park the trailer along the other side of the cabin. For the boat launch, when you turn onto Madeline Lake Rd. from Townline Rd. you will notice fish hatchery ponds on the right hand side. The boat landing is the road next to those ponds. Just take that road down to the water. Other things to note There is no wi-fi at the cabin. We hope that is an opportunity for you to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the natural surroundings. We do get phone/cell service at the cabin, and if we must have wi-fi we head to the local coffee shops. If you are bringing a pet, you will need prior approval as we do have limitations for size and breed, and they must be currently vaccinated. If your pet is approved, please do not allow them on the furniture or beds unless you bring your own covers/protectors. When outside, pets must be on a leash. Also, please bring your own swimming/lake towels for outdoor use and your own toiletries, paper products, and hair dryer. Firewood is available for purchase. Guests may use what they need for the fire pit during their stay (up to one week) for $25; each additional week is $25. Please drive slowly (5mph) when entering and exiting the driveway (off Madeline Lake Rd).
