Great central location to explore all the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. This two-bedroom, one-bath cabin has a fantastic view of the Sol Duc River. On the main floor, there is a full kitchen, dining, and living room outfitted with all you need including heated floors. The front deck is a great place to sit and watch eagles fly up and down the river. Trail close by to the river for some great fishing. The space Welcome! If you are traveling to the great Olympic Peninsula, this upscale cabin is for you! Located right on the river, centrally located, this newly remodeled cabin is a perfect home-base to all the greatest park areas around. Our cabin has a tucked away forest vibe with an incredible view of the Sol Duc River. Indoor Space: Upon entering the cabin, you will see the kitchen and dining area to the left with the cool retro appliances. The living room area is to the right with a comfy sofa sleeper couch that can sleep two. There is a nicely stocked coffee bar where you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea while enjoying the scenery of the forest and the river right out the windows in front of you. Just beyond the kitchen is the fully equipped bathroom that includes a custom tile shower with two shower heads and a porthole window. The shower is built with a no-curb entrance for ease of access. There is a make-up mirror, hair dryer, and a small washer and dryer available. Behind the living area is the first-floor bedroom with a queen-sized bed. With the door of the bedroom open along with the sliding half door, you can relax in bed with a beautiful view of your surroundings. There are black-out blinds and bedside lamps with USB charging outlets. Upstairs is the 2nd loft bedroom with a queen size bed which makes you feel like you are living up in the trees with the views from the bed out the windows. There is a screen available to pull across the loft opening to the rest of the cabin for privacy. There is also an ottoman upstairs that folds out to a single bed that would be perfect for an extra person. The cabin has two mini-split heating/cooling units, one upstairs and one downstairs to keep you perfectly comfortable. These units are often not needed as the main floor is equipped with heated floors. There is also a ceiling fan to circulate air. Outdoor Space: 5 acres of privacy on the river, the cabin is perched on the hill above the Sol Duc River with an expansive front deck where you can relax in the rocking chairs and enjoy watching the eagles fly right past you. Beyond the deck, you will see a wood fire pit and Adirondack chairs. There is state land across the road for longer walks in the woods with your dog and a private trail down to the river for fishing. The boat launch is 2 minutes away upstream at the fish hatchery. Bring your gear! The fishing is never a letdown. Twilight book and movie enthusiasts enjoy coming to town. We love our PNW and all that it has to offer. The cabin is built on an old railroad bed from WW1 that was used to harvest spruce trees to build airplane propellers. We are happy to share our family-built cabin with our guests. Please make sure you review all photos and accommodations before booking! Guest access The entire cabin and firepit area is available for guests to use. Guests do not have access to the wood shed behind the cabin. Other things to note We do have WiFi and have installed TV's, however, the WiFi does go out frequently. If this occurs, you can use your phone as a hot spot.
