Creekside Cottage on 6 acres Near Ellicottville

Tuck in with family and friends in a cozy country setting – just minutes from great skiing, shopping, restaurants and bars. Our 2-bedroom/1 bath cottage is 10 minutes north of the stylish ski scene in Ellicottville – and a 10-minute drive from many creature comforts in Springville. Our very private, 6-acre property features a creek, short hiking trail and is 40 minutes from the Peace Bridge, convenient for Canadian travellers. WiFi, wildlife and white noise abound. The space Our inviting cottage is roughly 1,000 sq ft, with two bedrooms (6 beds in total) and a full bathroom, sunroom and a massive yard for family fun. Sleeping Arrangements: It's best suited for groups of 4-6, but can accommodate 8 in a pinch for those who don't mind the close quarters and a few shared beds. The downstairs bedroom has stylish twin bunk beds and a queen bed. The lofted bedroom has two full-size beds which trundle away from the sloped walls, and there's space for an additional inflatable mattress. *Note: the stairway to the second-floor loft is slightly steeper than typical stairs, but there are retractable gates there for peace of mind. Cooking & Eating: The kitchen island has seating for 6, though we admittedly don't do many sit-down dinners ourselves. We find it's best equipped for casual family meals, and let the chefs in Ellicottville or Springville do the cooking when our guests are antsy for fancy 3-course dinners. In terms of appliances, the kitchen has a 10 cubic foot fridge/freezer (plenty of room for a week's worth of groceries), 4-burner electric range, microwave, convection toaster, Air Fryer, Vitamix, French Press and drip coffee maker. *Note: there is no conventional oven or dishwasher in the cabin, but we recently added a new washer and dryer. Getting Here: The property is tucked back off US 219, the main thoroughfare in the area, which is always the first road plowed during ski season (unlike many of the surrounding backroads.) This is especially convenient for easy access to stock up on supplies in Springville (10 minutes north) and reach all of Ellicottville's attractions 10-minutes down the road. *Be advised: You can definitely hear cars/trucks from the property, so you won't need to bring your white noise machine. **Final Note: during periods of epic snowfall, portions of our long driveway may remain unplowed, which will likely require 4-wheel drive. (We wouldn't recommend anything less than 4WD for the roads around here if you're coming to ski as it is.)*** Other things to note There is a 55,000 BTU wall heater in the living room which warms both floors. Additionally, there's a wood-burning stove, which can be made available (with plenty of dry wood) for responsible guest use *pending host's approval.*
