The spacious 180 m² attic apartment in the Häselburg cultural house is located in the middle of the city center. It can accommodate up to 11 guests, has five separate bedrooms with king size beds, two shower rooms, two toilets, a large eat-in kitchen, a wide hallway and a small terrace. Free fast Wi-Fi, high-quality down duvets, good mattresses. Non-smoking apartment, no animals allowed. Restaurants, shopping and the train station are in walking distance. The space It all started with this apartment: We wanted to create a retreat for the artists who work in the Häselburg. From this idea came the idea of the artists' rooms, which reflect the content and design concept of the Häselburg. Like the Häselburg itself, the artists' rooms are also a creative experimental space. Carefully restored historical building fabric meets young design and clear forms; minimalism combines with tradition. Location-specific installations complement the architecture and create new spatial impressions. This creates a living work of art – an ideal place for living, art and culture. That is exactly why our guest rooms are still called "artist's rooms" to this day. In each room and in the public areas of the Häselburg you will find selected works of art by young and established masters from the region and beyond. In addition, a diverse collection of literature is available throughout the house: art books, architectural guides and catalogs of artists who are associated with the Häselburg, have exhibited here or may still exhibit. With a little luck, you will even discover a work of theirs in your room. We deliberately refrain from unnecessary frills and focus on the essentials. This also means that we do not offer a TV out of conviction – WiFi is available throughout the house. There is a suitable artist's room for every taste: from cozy rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom use to large, fully equipped apartments to bright apartments for individuals, groups of friends or families. Rooms with private bathrooms are also available. Our artists' rooms are not only used by the artists who work here, but also by travelers and curious people who want to spend a few days in an extraordinary atmosphere. Go on a discovery tour and find your personal artist's room in a place where inspiration, tranquility and creative power come together. We speak German, English and French. About Häselburg: The Häselburg is the new center for art, culture and creativity in Gera. It is a versatile place where education, culture, inclusion, housing and creative industries come together and social and cultural projects are interwoven. Guest access Since the Häselburg is not continuously staffed, check-in is contactless and uncomplicated. You can reach the apartment via the inner courtyard at Stadtgraben/Florian-Geyer-Str. 17; from there, the elevator will take you directly to the top floor. The small terrace leads directly into the apartment. You will receive the detailed access information including all necessary codes by email the evening before your stay. Important note on the panic lock The apartment door is equipped with a panic lock to the terrace. This makes it possible to leave the apartment from the inside at any time – even when the door is locked. However, please note that if you lock the door and then check that it is properly closed by pressing the door handle, the door will unlock automatically. From this moment on, it can be opened from the outside. Other things to note Please note that the Häselburg is still under construction and that construction work can still take place on the premises. Of course, we do our best to keep any impairments to a minimum so that you can still enjoy your stay.
