Perfectly situated between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, this home is minutes from popular surfing destinations such as Short Sands and Indian Beach. Prefer a quieter stretch of sand? Bring your bikes! At low tide, you can ride from Arch Cape all the way to Hug Point or even Cannon Beach while admiring the tide pools. With a quiet yard and a large deck, this well lit home is great for a family getaway or friend reunion. This is a really unique home that was hand built by our family. It reflects our love of the ocean and the mountains, which you'll notice in finish work throughout the home. Featuring hand made tile installations by Olympia, WA Artist, Mike Cummins, reclaimed wooden ceilings, stonework sourced from our beach and lots of natural light. Some outstanding features are the large sitka spruce stump in the front yard (felled more than 100 years ago), along with our twin old growth hemlocks. Guests will also be able to enjoy our traditional Japanese soaking tub, Japanese bidet toilet, double shower and outdoor shower with privacy screens. Enjoy the entire house during your stay. There is one locked closet and a few locked cupboards containing personal items. Other than that, we want you to enjoy our special home as much as we do! We will not be at the house during your stay but we are close by if you need anything. We are on the east side of highway 101, about a five minute walk from the beach. Nearby beaches to the north include Hug Point, Arcadia, Cannon Beach, and Indian Beach. South of us is Oswald West State Park and Nehalem State park. The town of Cannon Beach is 5 miles north and Manzanita is about six miles south. The historic town of Astoria is 45 miles north and offers breathtaking views of the Columbia river. There is no public transportation, a car is necessary. There is a large sunny deck, bbq and outdoor heater for the long summer evenings. We love our outdoor shower too, pull the screens down for privacy.
